Our Server was the best! She was very hospitable and the Chef was generous. He even added on the fish of the day to pur Sinigang! Looking forward to more menu and times open soon.

Balai Pata is an absolute gem, and absolutely needed on North Shore / Central Maui in what's otherwise a restaurant abyss of tourist forward formulaic burgers & fish tacos.

Part of me wants to keep it a secret, but it deserves way more recognition than it has received. I'm honestly shocked it's not packed every single night.

Their innovative fusion menu is both playful and thoughtful, with fresh, farm-to-table dishes that change often enough to keep every visit exciting.

The staff are the sweetest aunties, making us feel like family and doting on our toddler every time we come. Our little one (and the rest of us!) can't get enough of their malunggay (moringa) handmade garlic noodles. No liquor license yet, so it's BYOB, which makes for an even more relaxed, homey vibe. Easily one of our favorite spots on the island - and I'm sure it will become one of your favorites too.

Man, this was the best Filipino food I think I’ve ever had. Wildly good. Almost didn’t go because the prices seemed a bit high for the low key meal we were trying to have. But flavors matched the prices. Fantastic. My husband is currently in the car singing “macadangdang did his thing thing” and he’s absolutely correct.

Portions are very small. Just because you make something sour doesn't make it a Filipino dish? Sorry. The lechon kawali we were served seemed old, the skin was crispy but the meat part was very hard to chew. Not very generous with the sauce either. The bistek was unseasoned, the sauce was bland, and you can clearly taste oil (not very appetizing).

Feel free to try their food but I personally would not recommend.

Yum yum! Absolutely recommend this place for Filipino Hawaiian food. The space is large and good for groups. Pro-tip for travelers: eat at this restaurant before or after a flight because this is near the airport and way tastier than the airport restaurants.

Service was friendly but a bit overwhelmed when we visited. However all was fine. We loved the food! Try the garlic malungay noodles (green noodles made with moroheiya, a superfood) and kale caesar salad. There’s a kids menu but my kid didn’t care for the keiki ramen (bland).

Delicious, creative and lovely! Close to the airport so a must stop either on your way in or out. Maybe both!
