Wow! The food at Balai Pata is spectacular! We also felt like it was a really cool designed restaurant with great vibes. Loved the garlicky malungay noodles. Lumpia was delicious. The bao buns were so soft and flavorful, the pork belly was incredibly tender. Someone in our party had the ramen and said it was very good. We also had a couple of specials — if the whole fried fish is available, definitely get it! We were blown away with the food here.

1st time into this establishment, and we enjoyed the food. I ordered their small plate, Crispy pork (lechon) laing. Side order of garlic (bawang) rice. If you enjoy squid luau, their crispy pork laing is a must try. Their Crispy duck pata is also delicious. Save your tummy's for their delicious halo halo.
Of course, now we are frequent guests to this location. Food, atmosphere, and service outstanding.
Great atmosphere!
Although this is the only Filipino dine-in restaurant in Central Maui, management needs to train their staff to better maintain their customer services.

We had the garlic noodles and crispy pata as seen on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It definitely lived up to the hype! We ate so much food we couldn't handle dessert, so we will be back later this week for round 2.

Incredible food! Absolutely would recommend. We love exploring Filipino restaurants everywhere we visit and this was definitely one of the best we have found. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Each dish was very fresh and had wonderful presentation. We would love to be back
We would highly recommend the Garlic Malungay, crispy Pata, and halo halo. All of the portions were great for sharing! Definitely check out this gem if you are in Maui

We had the best time tonight! All of our food came out piping hot and fresh. We loved the garlic green noodles, ribeye, Brussels sprouts and clams! I think we will be talking about the meal in years to come. We loved learning about chef Joey and how he has supported the island in the wake of the Lahaina fires. Also special shout out to our waiter who was so kind and welcoming. Our group of 7 was well fed and appreciated the high value of food with really affordable prices. Cant wait to return one day!

This place deserves 5 stars. The service was outstanding, the folks working there made you feel like family and the food is absolutely fantastic, about 50$ or so dollars to feed a person. I haven't had food that good in a hot min. This business deserves as much business as possible. If I lived here in Maui I'd be eating there weekly.

I was looking for a place to celebrate my Husband 70th Birthday. Well I hit a home run when I found Balai Pata . I worked with the Mgr. Lance and bought out part of the restaurant . He helped me plan a menu for 47 people with a family style serving . We were able to have some decorations put on our tables to make it look so festive . The food was amazing with a great variety of food and flavors . The staff was amazing making it such a fun night ( Thankyou Nehoa ) This place is cute as its décor is very modern . So if you looking for great food, great staff ,and great atmosphere look no further ,

One of the best meals during a 4 day stay on Maui. Interesting and unique flavors. Better food than “fancy” places like Morimoto or Humumaui at Grand Wailea.

Very disappointed with this place. Felt like I was ignored the whole time I stayed here. Seems like the servers prefer to serve the locals and ignore the tourists. I wouldn’t come here again nor can I recommend to anyone else

Avoid this place at all cost! Worst customer service we've experienced in Hawaii.. The waiting staff did not check in on us at all, and ended up omitting an item that we were waiting for over an hour. Even for the dishes that didn't get omitted, the waiting staff would serve a dish and then serve the dipping sauce/dressing 20 minutes later. Additionally, the waiting staff served the customers they seemed to know earlier than us even though they put in their orders much later than us. It even took them more than 15 minutes to bring our bill to us. The worst part was that the waiting staff didn't apologize for, or even acknowledge the omitted item (wasn't even removed from the bill) nor the poor service until we asked for an explanation on what was going on with the service today. I was surprised to find out that this level of service of provided by none other than the restaurant assistant manager. Unless there is a change in management, I would steer clear of this place unless you want to be neglected for the entirety of your meal and still have to pay 20% tip.
