Brigit & Bernard's Garden Cafe

My sister and I brought our mom for the first time. As expected, no disappointments! The food was wonderful, plus leftovers for a delicious meal the next day. We love sitting outside in the garden-like dining space. Our server was knowledgeable and courteous. Looking forward to coming back soon!

This is a fun event on Maui with a unique atmosphere reminiscent of Bavaria. I hadn't been to this event for several years and was a bit disappointed in returning this year. Food service was a buffet and it started late. The food was decent and the ohmpah band was lively. Servers were a bit rude and aloof and when the bill was given to us, they had written in their own 20% tip. I was probably going to give them 20% anyway because I usually do no matter the service (we live on a small island and I'll likely see them again). But having them write it in themselves sent a negative message. It makes me wonder if they feel like it's due to them regardless of their level of service. And I wonder if these servers have gotten stiffed before due to their lousy attitudes.

My fave restaurant on maui! It feels like you're eating at grandpa and grandma‘s house, in the best way. You can taste the love. Also, the portions are huge so I always get another meal out of an entrée.

This was a very different experience. The food was good as was the menu selection. There are only a few people who work here, including who I believe is the owner, so the plan on waiting for a while for continued service. It is a place I would return to.

This is an enchanting little hideaway with an interior filled with a thousand treasures hanging overhead. The chef did such a phenomenal job on the food. I enjoyed every single bite. The red cabbage was very flavorful but I do wish the portion had been larger on that. The salad dressing was zesty and the gravy had a brandy or cognac flavor to it. I definitely recommend ordering the gravy on the schnitzel. It made the dish! The apple strudel is made in house and topped the foodie fest off beautifully. Thanks to our great waiter who really personalized the experience.

Our dining experience at Bridget and Bernard was a solid 10 out of 10! Everything about this place is exemplary, from the scrumptious food to the enchanting ambiance.

We came here to meet some friends who recommended this restaurant.
Having lived in Germany for 12 years, specifically Bavaria, I’m quite picky about my German food. I must say I was 100% pleased with everything. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel which came with Spätzle und Rotkohl. My husband ordered the Wiener Schnitzel which came with a salad and scalloped potatoes, also delicious.
Lizzie was our server and she was wonderful.
Bernd was very congenial and I had quite a nice conversation with him in German. We sat outside in a beautiful garden atmosphere Which enhance the experience altogether.
We will definitely come back to this restaurant the next time we are on Maui. I highly recommend this restaurant as the German food is quite authentic and delicious.

Just wow! Bernard is one heck of a cook! This is about authentic as you can get. Schnitzel was incredible.! Definitely highly recommended coming and enjoy dinner here.

The atmosphere here is very casual. It is a streetside café with a small indoor dining space and a larger outdoor garden/patio seating area. The menu is broad with many delicious Bavarian style dishes and delicious deserts. We found the service to be extremely friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. This is a great place for a casual date, to meet friends, or even to dine alone. Brigit & Bernard's Garden Café is well worth a visit.

This is the best hidden gem on Maui! The food is handmade and European authentic. Hands down some of the best food we have ever had, and certainly the best on Maui! Highly recommend making a reservation (you must have one) and visiting this quaint little place while on the island. You will NOT regret it!

This little gem is a wonderful way to share a delicious meal in a quaint courtyard setting. We have been going for years and it never once has disappointed. It's fun for lunch and lovely for dinner. The Jagerschnitzel is fabulous with the best spaetzel ever and perfectly balanced red cabbage. The chicken Marsala is also a favorite and so is the Bolognese. Be sure to have Bernard's Reuben, it's the best on the island!!
