Tried Da Nani Pirates and got the fish and chips I added extra fish (3 more pieces), and it was totally worth the extra charge. The fish was crispy, fresh, and paired perfectly with their house-made tartar sauce. So flavorful and satisfying.
Honestly, this was probably the best fish & chips I had in all of Maui. I’d 100% come back here again. I wish they had a location in L.A.!
Highly recommend if you’re in the area and love quality seafood done right.

If you like Ahi, Da Nani Pirates should be on your list of go-to places.
I had the seared Ahi tacos and my spousal unit had the seared Ahi wrap. Same ingredients, different wrapper (my wife prefers flour to corn tortillas). For me, one of the things that really made it interesting, was the inclusion of macadamia nuts. Most of the other ingredients can be found in a fish taco. But the blend of seasonings was good here, too. So it was more than just the addition of the nuts.
Also, their take on mac salad is great! It's a combo potato/mac salad that's not too sweet, with just the right blend of mac and potatoes. My wife let me try a bite, but was reluctant to share more. That should tell you something.
It's a food truck court in a parking lot, so atmosphere is not great. But whether just arriving, or getting ready to leave, try to fit Da Nani Pirates into your day.

I can't really complain about the food. Each time I had the three fish tacos, which were good, but still not exactly cheap ($19.00 without tip). However, the colleague behind the counter urgently needs to be replaced! During my last visit he looked listless, didn't have a friendly face and was generally more than unfriendly. My tacos were ready super quickly and my name was NOT called (although it was recorded on the touch panel when I placed the order). I stood in front of the food truck and was obviously waiting, but the colleague didn't say anything. My order was already ready on the counter 😠 After a long wait, I went to him to ask and he handed it to me, visibly annoyed, with the words "I've called several times, just look at your smartphone." It's just stupid if you don't have a US number! Of course the tacos were already cold and soggy. Unfortunately, with such staff you can save yourself a visit...

I’ve been coming to Maui for 40 years- and hands-down, this is the best seared ahi plate. Incredible. Kihei location. Ahi tacos are fantastic too! I woke up this morning thinking about last night’s meal, so we came back today. Had to go back a second day in a row!

Absolutely awesome food and great customer service! I get a serious craving for their seared Ahi (tacos or salad) & shrimp tacos. The pulled pork sliders are really good too. We usually hit them up at least 3-4X a month because with the extensive menu, you can't get bored. Sometimes we'll drive all the way from Haiku, just to eat there! Is high end, 5star taste/quality really possible from a food truck?!? It sure is, because Chef John has some serious culinary skills!! My kid just got off the plane and it was the first place she asked to stop, for her favorite~ The Cajun shrimp plate. 100% recommended ✔ Never once been disappointed??.

Chef John HOOKED ME THE F UP. THAT WAS SOME DELICIOUS FISH TACOS. I had the beer battered fish tacos (3 for 20). And a singular grilled fish taco (8). TAKE MY MONEY CHEF JOHN YOU KILLED IT EVERY TIME.Truly, that was amazing and I’d recommend this stop to anyone at this food truck park.My camera is broken and does not do it justice. GO HERE AND EAT ITS GAS.
