I can only speak to the breakfast, but the food on the buffet was good, great fresh fruit, and the staff was friendly.
I stayed at the hotel on a business trip, dined at Rainbow Terrace restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Buffet breakfast and dinner were the buffet price excellent. The restaurant atmosphere is quiet and laid back. The restaurant staff were friendly and made sure all my drinks were kept full. If you are here on a budget, turn down your gourmet food appetite expectations. Where can you eat all you want for $17 for breakfast and dine prime rib and Chinese cuisine under $40? Nowhere. Highly recommended for business and budget travelers.

I'm sad to see Maui Beach Buffet go downhill this way. Price was $39.99 per person, but they add fees and tip to each person so it ends up being $49.99 per person. The food was gross and the restaurant is outdated and dirty. Spent over $400 taking my family to dinner here and we are all so disappointed. Rip off for sure.

Horrible service overall trying to make a reservation but unsuccessful been passed around from concierge to front desk to buffet area and event manager felt like I was in a ping pong match but I was the ball and still no one could help me maybe no one know how to do their job?? or passing the buck because I got better things to do like personal calls or text or high score on a game I’m playing or maybe social media sounds more interesting then doing my job… HORRIBLE & FRUSTRATING!!!

No alcohol was served when we dined here in 2021. That would've been nice to know at the time of reservations which they failed to mention as we definitely would've made other plans as we were celebrating a birthday, not having a church dinner. Hello!?EXPERIENCE:We were informed of the slap-in-the-face news by a family member who arrived at the restaurant ahead of us. While we could've done BYOB (told to us after-the-fact) with a $2/person charge, we were already on our way with the celebrant and didn't want to be delayed even more.We were immediately greeted by the gal at the host stand to who I asked why their bar was closed. She referred me to a gentleman who was on his way to greet us and who I assume was the restaurant manager. He stated that due to COVID, they thought it'd be best to pause alcohol sales. Fine, but guests should be told that up front.Tables were spaced apart and the buffet is no longer self-serve. While understandable, the buffet experience is marred by having to deal with someone to assist you with your selections. Good thing they weren't busy as there were only two people assisting behind the buffet.Dishes and silverware have been replaced by eco-unfriendly paper plates and plastic utensils. Pitchers of water are left in the middle of the tables and replenished frequently. The dessert table has been replaced with a self-serve freezer doling out ice cream bars, sandwiches and popsicles.BUFFET:*Fried rice - spouse loved it even if it looked pale & simple*Chow mein - very good*Prime rib - I think it was prime rib but whatever it was, was very fatty and chewy; avoid*Chicken - battered & deep-fried; very good*Fish - baked filets that were tender & tasty*Salad - romaine with just olives as a topping choise; 3 dressings; I chose ranch which tasted like nasty Hidden Valley*Shrimp tempura - these were the short, stubby version with the smooth batter vs. the long pieces with the "rough" batter; still good*Corned beef - it looked like roast pork due to its dark color and was finished with gravy; very odd preparationSERVICE:We were checked on quite often and thanked on our way out. Great job.OVERALL:Selections have lessened but what was served was still good. $25/person is a fair deal.

Don't eat here! You will be disappointed. I ordered the Shrimp spaghetti with garlic bread. Garlic bread was burnt, the sauce for the dish was watery, Spaghetti was chewy.Egg Rolls were tiny! Like the size of a pinky. You'd expect better for the.price they were charging.. My friend ordered steak and shrimp, medium rare. Shrimp was overcooked, steak was cooked well done. Sent back steak, steak came back better but was medium. Who can't cook a steak? No steak Sauce! The ONE bottle of steak sauce 2as empty and they couldn't find another. Overall very disappointing. If we weren't so tired from flying, we would have happily walked 10 minutes to local restaurants!

Very nice large helpings of food. Very competitive prices compared to Honolulu. Not like other restaurants here in Maui. Which are outrageous and small portions I recommend this place. Pork adobo is number one. Broke the mouth.

My stay was good, the Staff was very friendly and cordial.Check in and out of the hotel was fast. I stay there because of the location is perfect for business in central Maui. The hotel is out dated, however construction has started to better their facilities.

enjoyed our stay, good thing we were allowed for early check in otherwise it would have been tiring killing time getting exhausted, . we had a great stay and thank you everyone that took part of making our stay a great one. Mahalo.
The Maui Beach Hotel is an affordable place to stay for locals and visitors. It's not a posh five star hotel. But it its a comfortable place to stay and far more affordable then the resorts around the island.
when you enter the hotel, it has a cute five. The lobby is updated and that’s about the only thing that’s updated in this whole place. When you check into the rooms, they’re old outdated and smell moldy.
Very disappointing to see the prices climb (comparable to staying in kaanapali) while the star amenities decrease. Those amenities to me were free parking and the beautiful open grass that used to be to the right off the hotel. Now there is NO free guest parking and the grass is all under construction to build a new hotel next to it. You will lose your returning kamaaina and guests. Those type of changes don’t go unnoticed.
Roach in the shower, Crumbling walls around the shower Mold in and around the shower the mattresses had not been turned in quite some time, making it difficult for 2 people to sleep without rolling into one-another Coffee pot was left with old coffee in it We won't be staying here again unless they remodel their rooms. The room shown on their website is not at all like the room we stayed in.
