What a great place for breakfast! Fantastic food, and the owners are such nice people. No eating in, but it’s worth it. I

We grabbed breakfast from Oyako Tei, a small local Japanese takeout spot, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is takeout only, which worked perfectly for us since we were planning to eat on the go anyway. We kept it simple and ordered just a few spam musubi for breakfast, and the food easily exceeded our expectations—fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying.

That said, when you first walk in, the somewhat run-down condition of the restaurant is noticeable and could be off-putting at first glance, but it’s definitely a case of not judging a place by its appearance. The condition of the space didn’t seem to impact the quality of the food at all. We’d give Oyako Tei 4 out of 5 stars, deducting one star solely for the appearance of the restaurant, but we’d still recommend it without hesitation for the food itself.

The folks running this place were amazing and my fiance loved the food!!! Great price for everything. Things were pretty picked over by 12:15 so go early! I’ve included a photo of the food from our hotel!

If you catch yourself thinking, ‘I could make this at home,’ then please, do it. We’ll see you back here in 20 minutes after you’ve accepted the truth. 😂

This place isn’t hard to find if you’re truly hungry and a little determined. It’s a no-frills shop with affordable prices, but what you really need here is patience—and it’s worth it. You can call ahead, grab something from the to-go station, or walk in like I did. Yes, there’s a wait, but I wasn’t in a rush. Good food deserves time.

I ordered the Big Breakfast ($13.25), a breakfast bowl ($10.95), two Spam musubi ($3.25 each), and a small bento ($7.45). And honestly? You can’t come here and order just one thing—not when everything looks this good and you’re this hungry.

This isn’t fast food. It’s comfort, made with care. Come patient. Leave full.

We only got the musubi which was very simple - just spam, rice and seaweed but man was that tasty. We had it heading to our cars and turned around to grab another two lol. It was much more flavorful than some others I’ve had during my trip.

This is a family owned restaurant and seemed to mainly be take out.

The nice ladies at Oyako Tei are the best. We had ordered twenty some plate lunches for a meeting but had to cancel last minute due to mandated flight reductions (govt shutdown). They did not get upset with our cancellation nor charged us a cancel fee. We ordered from them again for our rescheduled meeting. Got a mix of yakitori chicken, terri beef, roast port & hamburger steaks. Portions are generous & all were delicious. Our meeting attendees actually commented how good the food was in their reviews. Note: this is a takeout only place, no seating on location.

We spent half an hour to get to this place (marked as open) to find a sign that says we are close for private catering.

Food wasn’t bad, but very slow service. Pictured is the mini bento. Took about 20 minutes.

Poor experience. Stood by the register waiting for service, workers walk right by till you ring a bell, then they acknowledge you, gave my order, basically eggs rice and a meat, waited for 20 minutes for nothing, looked in the back everyone was talking story and eating food with they're fingers. My order wasn't even being made. Seem they helped people knew right away.

Take out only, family owned and operated restaurant. It has a homey feel with grandmas cooking.

The woman running the restaurant was so good to us. It’s a little hole in the wall, but the service and food were great. Not really a dine-in place, however the owner did offer to set up a table for us which was really nice of her. Everything was made fresh and great prices!
