Went yesterday, was informed that they can make spaghetti but kitchen is closed. Called today to order, was informed that they have not made spaghetti for a long time menu board is wrong. Asked for her name, refused to give it and hung up. Lousy customer service. Will not be going back.

Poor quality food, everything fried, absent service. Just a place to get deep fried very cheap low quality food. We both felt sick the same evening. Go to a food truck!

Drove 45 minutes to get some food here, because they said theyre open on google. Please respect your community enough to change your hours of operation so we dont waste our time!

Not the kind of place you come to after getting off a flight. Staff were nice but I’m betting it’s the kind of place you need to know a bit before getting what you want. Honey Chicken was “discontinued”, tho still on the menu, and without the online menu here we would have really struggled to order. Was hoping for a secret “hole in the wall” kinda place, but sadly didn’t deliver.

My Monday lunch mission went from laughable to bust. I'm trying to reverse my dislike of food trucks so I set out to find a new one to try. I knew the new Havens truck was closed but I was sure I could find something else. Boy was I wrong. Two of the four food truck lots were closed (by old 24 Hour Fitness and behind Home Depot) and nothing enticed me at the two by Costco that were infested with tourists. I remembered about Plantation Grindz and decided to take a chance to see if they had what I wanted to try a few weeks ago, unsuccessfully. ATMOSPHERE: Longtime Mauians will remember this as the old Dairy Queen. Aside from a new paint job, it still looks the same! Seating is outdoors only. And, you won't find any tourists here. MENU: Mishmash of cuisines including American, Japanese, Korean, and Filipino. The hot food line was all Filipino cuisine but the selections vary by day. FOOD: 2-Choice Plate - $12.39 Pork adobo, pancit and mungo beans. I was wanting chicken adobo but two out of three wasn't going to deter me. The pancit was bihon-style (all thin rice noodles) which I prefer over thicker flour noodles, mixed with veggies of fresh green beans, carrots and cabbage. It looked promising but fell flat in the flavor department. I'm not sure how to doctor-up pancit but shoyu didn't do much sans for adding in unnecessary amounts of sodium. The pork adobo were pieces of pork belly so they were very tender but seemed to have missed the dip in the adobo pool as they too had zero flavor. Come on!? The only saving grace was the mungo beans as the flavor profile was as expected. Their recipe is more soupy than my favorite at Paradise but I'd still order it again. SERVICE: Female at the counter was friendly and professional. OVERALL: Pricey for the portion. Another notch in my Yelp belt but I won't be back.

Easy going, non-pretentious, well priced, good home cooked Filipino food. Chocolate meat and pork adobo are awesome. Love this spot.

They were closing soon. Three hours earlier than their sign and internet suggested. This wan't appreciated.

Our first Loco moco on the island was at a food truck near the airport called the lunchbox or something along those lines, it was quite delicious so we wanted to give this place a try thinking that perhaps another smaller mom and pop restaurant might be the way to go for more authentic food. This place wasn't bad, but didn't really seem like the cleanest restaurant. You can still be a small, mom and pop shop and run a clean business. Most of the people eating there were also Filipino, we did find that interesting since it is a Filipino owned and run restaurant. Perhaps they are better known for their other options, they seemed to have been out of most everything the day we went. Doesn't seem like any place that serves Loco moco has homemade gravy, but rather your basic gravy from a jar or perhaps a packet. You definitely got huge portions, there was a lot of blue collar types grabbing breakfast at the same time as us, so they definitely have a following. Not real expensive, which explains why the meat was just OK. If you want Loco moco, I'd say maybe hit up the food truck that's pretty famous for them by the airport instead.

Half the menu if that was "orderable", they close at 5pm, we ate the rice which was very meh at best, pork dish was inedible. Very disappointing. 2 stars for having staff on site and being cost effective.

I highly recommended for Halo-Halo dessert! It's so delicious. I also love their pork adobo with pansit. My little sister ordered their baby back ribs and she wasn't pleased with it. The baby back ribs were extremely dried and plain. No flavors. Therefore, it's 4/5 stars for us.

Pork adobo was awesome. Pancit yummy. If you don't like Flip food, go to McDonalds. Or better yet crappy Applebee's.

Good food but don’t accommodate customers but understandable with Covid and all not many businesses allows bathroom use.
