12th Hawaii Distiller

We had an amazing time! The tasting was a no-brainer, and I am glad we got to try their unique spirits. Be sure to stop in and have a drink!

The lady at the bar couldn't care less. Either this was her first day at work, she wasn't in the mood, or this is her regular attitude, but my husband and I felt unwelcome here. The pours of the tasting were sooo small that you could just burn your tongue instead of tasting it. We have had many distillery tasting experiences, but this one was the worst. The smoked old fashioned had all of the smoke and nothing else. The straight liquors seemed to be pretty solid, but we had a hard time really knowing with the pour sizes.

Very good/interesting honey based spirits. Cozy and friendly atmosphere. Head distiller is so chill. Reasonably priced ($5 tasting of their 4 spirits, $8-$12 cocktails). Worth a visit if you
like alcohol.

My son asked me to grab him a bottle from 12th while on the island. Ended up grabbing three bottles after tasting. Great people!

This is a must-do! Ben was an amazing bartender/mixologist. He was knowledgeable on the distillation process, flavor profiles, and unique features of each of the liquors made here. No matter if you like sweet or spirit-forward drinks, they are all available. Don’t be fooled when they say honey spirits, the liquors aren’t sweet on their own. The spirits taste the same as other spirits straight up. The main difference for me was the spirits here are more refined, smooth, and flavorful. I’ll definitely be stopping by every time I’m on the Big Island!

Fun place with great tasting spirits! We really enjoyed tasting their unique, delicious spirits (most made with local honey) and talking to the owner and guy who helped us with the tasting (sorry didn’t get his name). They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Wish we’d had time to try one of their amazing sounding cocktails, but we did bring home a bottle of the “whiskey”. Wish we had room for more. We highly recommend this distillery/tasting room in an industrial area of Kailua-Kona!

Amazing liquor and a one-of-a-kind tasting experience! Dave (the owner) gave us a great time and tasting experience. Nothing like this on the mainland. Bringing 2 bottles back home with us!

Best shine I've ever had from a legal distillery. The reserve is also fantastic.

Visited Dave while on vacation with some friends. Cozy tasting area and fantastic drinks! Ended up buying two bottles of Reserve, a Honeyshine, and a bottle of vodka. Highly recommended!
