Basic Cafe in Kona, Hawaii☺︎
A restaurant with the most delicious acai.

The size is
There are two types: Medium and Large.
I ordered the large size (32oz) because I wanted to share it.
Quite a volume.
I was very satisfied with the amount of fruit and toppings.

If you like acai bowls, please give it a try!
I recommend Basic Cafe, which has a strong acai flavor and is particular about the ingredients!
You can also see the sea from the counter.

Renamed to Acai Hawaii, but it doesn’t live up to its name. Hardly any seating, and they’re using imported bananas. Why come to Hawaii for acai if it doesn’t even feature local ingredients?

Found this place not far, within walking distance from my stay while in Kona. Went three times during my stay. It was a great dish to have after morning sure dives.

Each time it tasted fresh and delicious. The honey really brought it all together. Even when there was a line order came out relatively quickly.

The staff served with a smile.

This is hands down the best açaí bowls ever. We became fans in San Francisco and were so sad when it closed. Landing in Kona this was our first stop! As delicious as ever. Must have!

I heard it was famous place, so I stopped by and took it out.
You can order at the second floor.
Since it was a large quantity, I ordered one and ate it together.
The fruit that came with the acai was fresh and refreshing.

Basik Acai is a gem! The Islander bowl was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect tropical treat.

While parking was a bit of a puzzle, and I’m still not entirely sure how to validate based on the instructions I received, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. The view from the top of the shack more than made up for it—a lovely spot to enjoy great food with a nice backdrop.

If you’re looking for a tasty acai bowl and a laid-back vibe, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

This place was great! I have allergies to spirulina and non-organic bananas. They use organic banana and even made an açai blend without spirulina just for me! The service was top-notch, and the açai bowl was so delicious!

Really fresh açaí bowl with fresh ingredients, fun upstairs balcony to watch the ocean while you eat. Great way to start a day on the big island!

Located on the 2nd floor of a tiny building. You can choose between different bowls. My husband was thrilled and fed up with it for ages. Even the small bowl is huge and you eat it forever.
When you walk down the stairs there are a few camping tables for eating.

Good Açai, Great Views! Sit upstairs on a blue sky day and enjoy the view over the water. Ordered the Brazillian Bowl with Papaya, it was well priced. Would have liked more granola.
