Wow, this place is amazing! The açaí bowls are HUGE, super fresh, and loaded with toppings — hands down the best we’ve had in Hawai’i. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the vibe here is so chill. Definitely a must-stop if you’re nearby. 🌺🥭🥥

If you're looking for a refreshing and delicious treat in Kona, Acai Hawaii Company is the place to be! 🍧 The acai bowls here are next level – packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients and made to order. Every bowl is a perfect balance of sweet, tart, and refreshing, and you can tell they use only the best fruits and toppings.

The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to customize your bowl just the way you like it. Whether you're a local or a visitor, you’ll feel right at home.

Plus, the vibe of the place is super chill, and it's a great spot to start your day exploring Kona. I especially love how they offer a variety of options, so there’s something for everyone.

Can't wait until my next meal there!

Acai was okay, staff were not very hospitable. The price for a 32oz Acai was incredible so if you’re looking for some mid Acai, at a good price. This is a good spot. There was only seating in the birds nest for 6. The lower section had seating for about 12+

Awesomeee açai, the large bowl was almost good for two, generous portions of fruit, granola and crisps. Would recommend trying the açai here. The cold brew was pretty good too!

Great little hidden Açaí spot. The bowls were very good. Tiny little patio to sit and enjoy the views up top or some picnic tables down below.

Delicious Açaí Bowl and good portion. The small size was filling! Small menu but all great options. You can sit upstairs and look out at the ocean. It’s more of a to-go place though. Highly recommended for a good Açaí bowl!!!

I got the Drifter with an additional drizzle of peanut butter and and iced coffee, and my husband got the Brazilian with an iced coffee. I really liked these acai bowls because the frozen acai was not too sweet. It was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. We ate at the stand. The place is upstairs with a very small square footage, so it's best to order and step aside, then take your items when ready and eat downstairs at the tables. It was crowded at 8 when they opened. Their hours are 8 am-3 pm, but will need to check hours and days open online for any updates.

Great Acai bowl with fresh fruits right by the ocean. Above 5 star service, we realized the store was already closed after ordering but the young lady still made one for us:)

Very cute shack! The acai seems to be very natural which i like, had a tart and sweet flavor but not excessively sweet. I would have liked more granola and honey

Acai was fine but the staff were very rude. They messed up my niece’s order by not putting bananas in. When we went back to politely ask for the bananas they refused to believe us and said we should have come back before we started eating so they could confirm that it was indeed their mistake. Ok, this is a small business, I get it. But who would go to a well rated popular spot and inspect the work before starting to eat? Honestly if I’m here to spend money as a tourist I’m not going to try to scam you out of 5 slices of bananas, which is what they were implying based on their delivery and their condescending tone of speech.

Later before we left we realized we actually took a photo before digging in, so we went back and showed them proof that they indeed did not put the bananas, again being polite and mindful that sometimes people make mistakes and we’re not offended that they made a minor mistake. The staff acted extremely impatiently, did not apologize, and very passive aggressively gave us the side of bananas. This was an extremely unpleasant interaction and we are very disappointed by this behaviour by the staff.

Good acai in the heart of kona. It was slightly browner and also tasted a tiny bit sour but still good nonetheless. Toppings were placed on the top and the rest was acai so that made up for the price.

The best Acai bowl of my life! Hands down a must visit. You're welcome.

Basic Cafe in Kona, Hawaii☺︎
A restaurant with the most delicious acai.

The size is
There are two types: Medium and Large.
I ordered the large size (32oz) because I wanted to share it.
Quite a volume.
I was very satisfied with the amount of fruit and toppings.

If you like acai bowls, please give it a try!
I recommend Basic Cafe, which has a strong acai flavor and is particular about the ingredients!
You can also see the sea from the counter.

Renamed to Acai Hawaii, but it doesn’t live up to its name. Hardly any seating, and they’re using imported bananas. Why come to Hawaii for acai if it doesn’t even feature local ingredients?
