We both tried the dirty coffees. My husband had to restrain himself from going back for a second, it was that good!! The candy pieces they use on top is such a great addition. The owner was super kind as well!

This is an excellent small coffee stand. Yesterday I had a med-dark V60 pour over & today a med-dark aero press. I recommend both but the V60 was phenomenal.

The sign says ask about the dirty coffee but everyone should ask about the pour over! Excellent pour over with your choice of beans, iced or hot. It's the best coffee I've had in Hawaii. It may take a while to prepare a pour over but it's worth the wait.

Berrybird is a true gem for coffee enthusiasts visiting Kona. Their dedication to crafting exceptional coffee is evident in every cup. The owners are not only passionate but also incredibly knowledgeable, guiding you through the world of coffee with ease.
The pour-over is a must-try. It showcases the full potential of Kona coffee, highlighting its unique flavors and aromas. I've yet to find a better cup on the island.
Beyond the incredible coffee, the owners often source special micro-lot roasts from around the globe. It's a fantastic opportunity to explore diverse coffee profiles and expand your palate.
The warm and inviting atmosphere of the open air market, coupled with the friendly and knowledgeable staff, makes Berrybird a delightful place to unwind and savor a truly exceptional coffee experience.

An outstanding and wonderful experience, from a pair of kind, sweet and amazing people. This husband and wife couple are absolute masters of their craft, and are doing what they love. Creating amazing coffee, educating customers, and providing a superb product in a beautiful atmosphere. The Dirty Coffee is a fantastic product that is a must try experience, but the rest of the menu can't be ignored. By far the best coffee we've had from across the island on our visit and I can't wait to take as much home with me as I can. Please stop and get a cup or ten, you will not be disappointed by the quality and experience!

Came here twice during our trip. The couple that runs it is very lovely and pleasant. The coffee was really good, really high quality. Highly recommended

From someone who used to work in the coffee industry, this place exceeded my expectations. Such kind owners who asked what we liked and suggested drinks based on those preferences. We did the Dirty Coffee and an iced vanilla latte (literally the best I've ever had). Smooth. Balanced. Delicious. One of my favorite coffee experiences.

Amazing coffee! We got the dirty coffee (see pic) double espresso (to taste the coffee in its purest form) and Vanilla bean latte and loved every bit of them. Came back an hour later for another. Their prices are very good too! $5-8 and add shots only a $1

This is the coffee shop you’ve been looking for. Exceptionally fresh, delicious, and a warm welcoming couple who are clearly very serious and passionate about coffee.Without question one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. We feel so lucky to have met Matt and Lisa at BerryBird Coffee at the Ali’i Marketplace on Tuesday and we loved the coffee and our new friends so much we came back with the whole family on Thursday! My first visit we had the pour over grown in Hawaii, which was phenomenally smooth and rich. It left me thinking about it for the next two days.On our second trip we had pour overs of both their medium roast and a Columbian bean Matt was kind enough to share from his own personal supply! The family really enjoyed the espresso and vanilla bean latte, with the vanilla beans grown locally as well. Lisa made us a very refreshing cooler with some tea made from coffee pulp and a citrus jelly which was perfect on a warm day. We’ll definitely be back whenever we’re on Big Island! Thank you Matt and Lisa!

Finally got to try BerryBird after a friends recommendation today at the Keahou location & it did not disappoint! Tried the “dirty coffee” which is essentially a caramel honey comb topper which melts into the coffee as you drink. Super delicious and cool coffee experience, 10/10 ? for me. The couple who run it are super friendly and I’m looking forward to going to their Alii garden location with my husband soon!

They make a fantastic vanilla latte with real vanilla beans instead of vanilla syrup!
