Not interested in touring, we went to eat delicious abalone. We ate steam abalone with garlic butter and sashimi. It was an abalone that was too small than I expected, but it still tasted good.

We did not do the tour which looks cool but we did try the food truck. Higher prices as expected with Hawaii and such. We had the garlic butter abalone and also sashimi style. Sashimi was tougher which I am not used to eating abalone but was decent. And the garlic butter went well with the grilled abalone.

Amazing tour of the farm! Carlos did such a great job and he has such a positive energy. I was absolutely blown away by the tour! It was just so much fun. Abalone was great too - I’ve had it before but these abalone taste superb!!

Carlos gave us a great tour. We learned so much, not just about abalone, but also dulses seaweed and the local history.

Very interesting. It’s the tour you and meal didn’t know you needed. Carlos was funny and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Fun, informative and very different from anything we can get back home! 10/10 recommend. Our guide was awesome and kept the tour moving. Mostly in the shade, too! Don’t skip the food truck afterwards

The 1/2 lb abalone garlic butter is a lot! I got the mixed one as well and felt like there was plenty to eat

Great place to try abalone! Very fresh and flavorful

Food truck that sells the abalone was not good at all. Paid $25 for a 1/2 pound of the garlic butter and they were dry and chewy not even cooked with the garlic butter. Served with a cold container of garlic butter and they weren’t much bigger than opihi. Very disappointed and will not buy there again, Hawaii is supposed to be better than this.

Available for dine-in or take-out Monday through Saturday in an outdoor trailer.
It was so delicious that I went there twice during my 4-day stay.

You can easily eat abalone on the Big Island of Hawaii. 5 minutes by car from Kona Airport. This is an abalone farming center. You can also cook your own food on the barbecue. We received pre-cooked abalone from the kitchen wagon. On this day, we also had a special menu, carpaccio. The taste is lemony and refreshing, and the texture is crunchy and fresh! I don't think you can eat garlic butter sauté in such a luxurious way in Japan. I was able to enjoy bite-sized pieces of abalone in the shell. Shared by 3 people.
