This place was packed! It seems to be a favorite with the locals. I got the Loco Moco with Kahlua Pork and it was more than enough for TWO people. It was amazing and the staff was very friendly. For local Hawaiian Food, I highly recommend this place.

Big Island Grill is a must-visit favorite when on the Big Island. We stop by at least once every trip, and it's often the first stop when we arrive! Chantilly Waffle and Mac Nut Pancakes are great breakfast options, and the loco moco and pork with brown gravy do not disappoint. Grilled fish is also excellent, as is their Kalua pork, but don't miss their Mac Nut pancakes (the nuts are in the pancake batter, and there are a lot of them!), french toast and waffles for breakfast! Friendly service from the entire staff puts you at ease and makes you feel welcome. Local food for locals, but even Mainlanders can enjoy a comfortable meal here! :-)

Ok, this is gonna take my best descriptors so here goes. I seriously jones for the macadamia pancakes here , and they never disappoint. So I ate yet another plate of them, crispy bacon and some easy-over eggs. Coffee is the only place I take it black, so dang good
