we booked Dennis for our October 2023 wedding after hearing him at the Waimea farmers market! From booking to day of everything was so easy and smooth. He knows so many songs and was able to deliver the exact mellow island vibes we wanted for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Would definitely recommend booking Dennis

Dennis was AMAZING! We had Dennis sing and play the ukulele for our wedding and we and our guests, all had such a good time with him there. He played several select songs for our ceremony, his ukulele was such a beautiful addition to our intimate wedding. Dennis also played during our cocktail hour and brought such a fun, upbeat vibe, we had multiple guests comment about how fun his live music was. Highly recommend working with Dennis :)

The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the view. The restaurant was dirty, server lacked customer service skills and the food bland and way overpriced. One meal amongst our four was the fish tacos but instead of fish substituted tofu to make it vegan. We were charged $27 for that meal. Left most of it as it just wasn’t tasty. Save your money and go somewhere else. It’s just not worth it. Also, to park in the underground parking below the restaurant cost us over $25 for two hours.

Most enjoyable lunch experience. Open air restaurant in an amazing location on the water with spectacular views and a very pleasant breeze. The food we ordered was excellent all around, including the Kalua Pig pulled pork sandwich, the fish tacos made with catch of the day, which was Mahi, and the grilled chicken sandwich. French Fries were hot and crunchy. Great meal, atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend. Public pay parking is available below the center where the restaurant is located.

Firecracker shrimp and views were good. Service was slow and wait staff seemed to have a problem handling the number of tables even though the restaurant was not really busy. Fish tacos were fine but nothing special. The live music was WAY too loud

This was a wonderful place to End our magical Hawaiian Vacation. Delicious and on the ocean. Would highly recommend. The Unicorn Breakfast Sandwich was amazing!

This place is tired…. Rusting ceilings, sticky tables, just kinda gross. Food was cold. Servers were not inspiring or engaging which to me is a leadership issue. Great location on the water but Kona proper has degraded with homelessness….

Papa Konas is quickly become a go-to spot on our trips to Kona. Reservations are accepted and there is enough seating to accommodate larger parties. Adding to the ambiance, the view is amazing! The menu is good with a lot of variety from old standbys to fresh, local flavors. Our server was outstanding. He was attentive, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. The food was excellent. If you haven't tried the avocado fries yet, you're missing out. The fish tacos were terrific and they drinks were tasty and not watered down. We'll continue to come back to this great spot! Pro-tip: if you're looking for parking, try the underground garage directly below the restaurant. It is often overlooked and has open spaces.

Great view. Excellent service. Bit of a wait, but not bad! Eggs Benedict and Avacado toast was melt in your mouth delicious.

What a wonderful restaurant! We walked in as they opened and they were able to seat 15 of us together immediately. Wonderful service with a smile and a variety of delicious food!

Good food and good prices. Try the chicken salad, I had it 3 times. Also nice views around sunset. Highly recommended with staying in Kona

This place is not easily seen from the street, but it is the best restaurant we tried on the island. They have an excellent view; it's right on the water. Everything is lit nicely at night. The food is excellent, and the service is even better. They even had live music, which was a nice added touch. Prices are relatively high but typical for Hawaii - though not as bad as some places.

We ate here twice (once for dinner & once for lunch). Both times the food and service were great! The location cannot be beat! We sat outside and had an amazing view of the water. There was live music in the evening. We had fish & chips, hamburgers, and fish tacos. Everyone agreed the food was great. My husband said it was the best burger he could remember! They can accommodate gluten-free diets. Prices were reasonable.
