Very mellow, Great people watching along Alii drive, beautiful views of the outriggers. Come early for happy hour this is a small place. Drinks are strong, nai Tai and ginger beer soda $17, well worth the entertainment value. Bar tender great! Feed the geikos.Parking: Parked near Don Ho's maitai bar and walked the .7 miles.

Didn’t eat here but food looked good. Stopped because of location and a dive bar atmosphere. While right on the sidewalk and road, the traffic crawls and the view of the water is the best.

One of my favorite places in Kona, the view you can't not love the whole bay is in front of you, we always get the green papaya salad and either shrimp or ono bites, spicy and delicious, the staff is always chill and nice. Truly a kick back relaxing place.

Always one of our favorite places in Kona, Da Shark Shack is a super casual and fun hangout on Ali'i Drive. Good prices, good food, and a great view of Kailua Bay.

Only had snacks & happy hour...ono appetizer was okay as was the cocktail...a little more other items & not much mezcal. It is a great place to watch the ocean, grab a spot for sunset, see geckos. I will have to return another time.Parking: Parking lot behind, accessible via alley.

Good vibes, pretty good drinks too! We stopped here on one of our last nights in Kona to grab a final drink. I had to order a blue hawaii in my time in Hawaii of course, and decided to get this one here. It came out pretty quick, and was exactly what I expected. The alcohol didn't really seem that strong but I liked the coconut and curacao flavors of it. Our server was friendly, and we did enjoy the lighting, view, and ambiance here!

Stopped at this spot in Kona for lunch. Much of the seating was in the sun so we had to move a little furniture to access what little shade there was. The food was very good and the service was good as well. Nothing to get too excited about, but very adequate. I felt like the bill seemed high and noticed a line called "service charge" on the bill that amounted to 20% of the meal! Ooof! I figured this was some sort of Hawaiian resort tax. As we were heading out the door my wife pointed to a small 3x5 card size sign that said "20% added for gratuity". Well, I had already left a 20% tip so Da Shark Shack made out big on me, which I suppose was the intent. Come on folks. If you're going to add a 20% tip to every meal let's be up front with your customers and let them know when you bring the check. A posted 3x5 card is not going to cut it. Shady business model.

A fun dinner with the sunset. This place has a lot of regulars and is super quirky. If you can deal with that, it's a great place to eat.Food was really tasty, but I would say portions are small for the price. Also worth knowing that you get a sunset, but not over ocean. Geckoes licking fruit on the bar!A last note: I think the menu is quite different from what Google has.
