It's a mixed experience for sure. The standard chips and salsa were a solid disappointment. The salsa had absolutely not body consisting of what could best be described at chili pepper water and Chipotle with a generous portion of stale chips.

Great Mexican, especially for Kona. Chili Verde burrito was solid as was the vegetarian burrito and the friendly staff had no problem modifying for some allergens. That one star review seems to be from entitled foreign tourists who don't understand Mexican food. GREAT date or hangout idea: Bring takeout from here to Old Airport Beach 2min away for lunch or sunset. Plenty of tables under pavilions and trees.
