We love Kona's Fishhopper but it's just getting too expensive. My wife and I shared an entree plus we had one house salad and one bar drink for $75!! Hate to see this happening.

Our server was amazing! It was my birthday and he lit the candles on the cake and provided additional plates and he sang with us! So friendly and helpful. We are a local family and we have loved this place and it's food since it opened!

Last meal in Kona before flight back home didn't disappoint! Great late breakfast in a beautiful setting. And such a friendly welcoming staff as well. We'll definitely return on our next visit to Hawaii.

We ordered a fish dish that is native to Hawaii. The fish is called Monchong. it is normally prepared with in a risotto, but we asked them to do it with wasabi mashed potatoes and vegetables instead which they gladly agreed to do. It was a wonderful meal. The fish was nice and buttery and mild. Somehow the vegetables were the best I've ever had the way they season them was uncomparable to anything I've ever eaten. I was afraid of the wasabi potatoes originally, but they were wonderful too not a very strong overpowering flavor like I expected. The service was wonderful and I highly recommend this place for everything they have from happy hour to dinner.  Their signature Hawaiian cocktails are especially delicious. They definitely don't serve anything like them at home.!!

I came here twice during my visit and I loved everything I tried. The Alfredo past was good and the chicken sandwich was sooo good! But my favorites were the fish and chips and the piña colada. Those were the best I’ve had.

The more than one grand dinner from the famous tourist trap called the Fish Hopper in Kona. I don’t recommend this tourist trap. While the presentation is excellent, the ribeye steaks are tough and gamy. I think we were served fake ribeyes or they came ftom very old dairy cows. The seafood are too salty. The cocktail drinks are too sweet. To be fair, the local beer was okay. The waiters aren’t attentive and you have no choice to rate them according to the amount of tip because it’s part of the bill as a mandatory gratuity item. It’s turned out to be a horrible place for us to dine. With a $1K dinner bill for 6 people, we expected some nice service but we barely got any after they set the food. So basically we only paid for the food presentation, the view and the ambiance while we struggled to eat the food. I have to spit out their steak in the bathroom as it won’t go down my hatch even if I tried hard. I grill great steaks at home and their ribeye steak is trash. While we complained about the food to the waiter, all he said was sorry. The manager came and said sorry too but nothing more!!! After paying more than $1K of dinner for 6?
