Gecko Girlz Shave Ice and Ice Cream Shop

Girls were super sweet and the dessert was amazing, just like I remembered from my childhood.

Super friendly staff. Fun flavors. Delicious ice cream. Kona Mud Pie and Mac Nuts were family favorites.

We loved the Gecko Girlz shave ice! The POG flavor was delicious.

We even saw a couple of geckos!

Got the shark bite and rainbow shave ices and they were both amazing! Generous portions, tasty syrups, and friendly staff:)

I loved the passion fruit sour with li hing powder. The passion fruit and powder worked so well together, and the mochi was a nice addition. Not sure I need the vanilla ice cream next time but it did add a good creaminess to some bites.

They were really friendly, the shave ice was absolutely delicious (first time trying it), and it's in a plaza-type area with a good view of the ocean.

Great little spot near a sand volleyball court. You can see the ocean and watch the sunset while having an amazing treat. Both the Emile cream and the shaved ice was so delicious. The fresh flavors are definitely the way to go, and all the staff was super kind and gave great recommendations.

Worst customer service ever
Tonight. Employee Ariel was rude and disrespectful. Acted like it was an imposition to help me. I just disregarded it and went and sat down to eat my snow cone. Then she proceeded to talk negatively about me and other customers she had to help this evening with a coworker. She was so loud and rude I could hear her comments out in the seating area. I walked up and
Asked for her name and let her know I would be sharing the service I received this evening. Why anyone would hire someone so rude and disrespectful to work for their business is beyond me! Fyi my daughter and I went here earlier this week and had excellent service. Ariel on the other hand represents this business at a 1 star level if that.

The shaved ice was delicious we got rainbow and it was delicious there was a lot of shaved ice we almost didn't finish it and there are 5 of us and there is sometimes a nice volleyball game being played

Gecko Girlz in Kona is hands down our favorite place for shave ice and ice cream in Hawaii! The ice is fluffy, the flavors are rich and tropical, and the staff makes you feel so welcome. It’s the perfect dessert stop after strolling Ali‘i Drive, and definitely one of the top things to do in Kona. We’ll be coming back every time we visit the Big Island!
