Elijah has the best customer service I have ever experienced. He deserves to be working in a fancy hotel with tips he can keep of his own. If you get the privilege of having him as your server then you are so lucky. This was the best genkis experience

This place gets 3 stars primarily for the novelty of the conveyor belt. Some of the items are good (dynamite spicy tuna, dragon roll), but most of the other rolls are almost all rice with very little of anything else inside. The ordering process is a little “clunky”, but it works. It might be better to have a small kiosk at each table rather than requiring the use of a phone. Our food all came to our table in a reasonable amount of time though. If they improve the quality of the food, it could be a fun place to enjoy some sushi.

Very unique, modern with quick service. You can even control how long you want to eat 30 minutes or 3 hours :)The menu is thru QR code and you order when you want and you get you check when you are ready. Interesting experience. Clean.Fresh and tasty sushi and it was inexpensive. It was my first experience with this kind of service.

The food was very good. The only item I wouldn't order again was the deep fried roll. Normally should be crispy, but was soggy and awkward. The A/C was very cold. My family and I were freezing, wishing we had worn sweats and coats. The service was great. We didn't wait long to get a table, and they checked on us multiple times throughout our meal, without being a bother. Will return, but dressed very warm.

Custome services is trash. The long wait is insane to eat mediocre sushi. Go to a locally owned sushi place. Support local. Your in Hawaii. Go get some fresh local fish!

Service is always subpar and the kitchen staff will scold you from the small opening where the food comes out from if you're seated near there which is annoying. That or you'll hear the kitchen staff talking smack. Fish quality is a hit or miss. Last visit the fish was very grey and unappealing. Fried stuff is usually good. Chicken wings are always a winner. This place is so nostalgic for us and we always hold out hope for it. Honestly, the prices, food quality and service is usually decent.

The whole experience of your food being served from a train was fun! You would order from an app one or two plates at time until you were full. The sushi wasn't the best I've ever had but good. The servers were nice, but they didn't come around often to check on us. Their system crashed while we were there and that shut down their whole operation. We were pretty much done with our meal, but it affected more people who were halfway through their dinner.

There are NO RESTROOMS. You cannot wash your hands. The food was adequate, but I couldn't call it good. The miso soup had no flavor. It came from a dispenser. No rich, or umame flavor at all.The udon soup was strangely sweet. The eel was good, the sauce was good. It's the only thing we ate that I would call good. The octopus had no flavor, along with everything else. The beef bowl was tiny. Not bad.I'll never eat at any of their restaurants again.Parking: It is part of a strip mall. The parking was adequate.

The train is a really cute spin on delivery & fun for the kids. You scan the QR code on the table with your phone (multiple phones can be used for each table, it keeps it all on one tab) & it sends you to their app, put what you want in the cart then click send to kitchen. After a couple minutes the train delivers a few items at a time & you use the screen over the "train station" to send the train back to the kitchen for the next load. It's definitely easy to over spend when you order a few dishes at a time, so be mindful. Everything we ordered was delicious, even our son who hates sushi & seafood found several items to make him happy. The staff were all friendly and smiling, even when our son sent the train back with half our food still on it ?

Best sushi I’ve ever had (not being dramatic), I was truly shocked how good it was! The dinning experience looks super cool with “boats” that bring you your food on a conveyer belt, though I got mine to go, I would definitely dine in sometime!!

I love it here, we come multiple times every trip to the big island. Fun, fast, and convenient. I am excited to try Genki in Japan.Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian items, but again this is primarily sushi so expect a lot of fish.Dietary restrictions: This is a Sushi restaurant, but there is a wide array of things to chose from.Parking: It's in a shopping center that has limited parking options. Not of fault of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Ton of fun to see the sushi come out on mini bullet cars. Kids will have a blast here.Wheelchair accessibility: Not remarkable but they do set up for wheelchair access

Simple, quick and cheap place (if you don’t order too much) for sushi and Japanese food. I love it because the food comes in these small trains and comes little by little, creating a fun meal experience.
