We had a dinner here at Huggos. Ordered a beer and a glass of bubbles, beer came in a can with no info that it wasn’t draft. We ordered the kalbi short rib and the sizzling Brussels sprouts to share. I think the chef forgot to open the spice cabinet tonight, I have never paid this much for food that looks great but tastes nothing. The brussles were supposed to be in some type of kimchi puree but all this was was oiled up sprouts with some pre-cubed bacon bits, for $18The short rib kalbi meat was actually tender but there wasn’t a single thing on the plate that had any Flavour, the rice was bland, shrimps were bland and the meat the same. I don’t know why the restaurant decided to not even salt their food, won’t be going here again for dinner but maybe to see their large dessert cake. Over all, very overpriced.

Great food. Best we have had in Kona so far. Attentive service. 30 minute wait at the bar for a table was enough for a cocktail before dinner. Seafood options were very tasty. Highly recommend.

Great food and views - the sunset is amazing! We were here as a group of six and the seating was perfect. My favorite drink on the cocktail list was the E Ku`u Aloha - so delicious. We tried various Pupus - the Garlic Bread was the crowd pleaser, but I enjoyed the Fritto Misto most. For the main, I had the Teriyaki Steak, which was amazing. For desert we shared the Hualalai Ice Cream Pie. It was delicious…and huge! - Perfect for sharing with a group. I would definitely eat here again.

YUM. Amazing mocktails, delectable main courses, incredible desserts. Seriously, don’t skip dessert. A member of our party was “not a dessert person”, then proceeded to eat half of our coconut cake—and I don’t even blame her, it was just that good!

Friendly service, superb food - I mean off the charts good. Get there before 5 and enjoy happy hour before the kitchen fully opens at 5. Fills up fast.

Fabulous view. Right on the reef. Innovative island cocktails. Killer Ono fish and kona coffee cheesecake. Recommend the poke appetizers and great salads.? And the Ribs!Ate here and the adjacent On The Rocks (cocktails and nice pulled pork sliders) four times. We're hapless Huggos addicts! No; I'm not on the payroll.Parking: FREE Parking voucher

Loved everything about this place a our waiter was a fantastic older gentleman with a great sense of humor. Beautiful ocean views and the food is amazing! If ordering the Big Bamboocha drink, it is best not to plan on driving afterwards lol.

It had good reviews downtown, and when I first came out to On the Rocks, I passed by and went to have a cocktail because the atmosphere was nice. I ordered a Hawaiian cocktail from the menu and it was pretty good. It was okay to be unfriendly up to this point. I came back for a second meal. I think it took almost 15 minutes to order. The server seemed like it would never come. I endured it until this point. Anyway, I ordered sashimi and asked for a recommendation for a wine to go with it, but they brought me an open bottle of wine (there was only one open bottle) and served it to me. Normally, when asking for a wine recommendation, the standard of American restaurant service is to first suggest a few types of wine from which region, so I was quite unhappy (actually, I've only been in the U.S. for a year... sorry). Even though they served me, they didn't tell me what kind of wine it was, so after I asked, they only gave me the region and name, but there was no explanation. I've been living in the U.S. for about a year, but this was my first time experiencing something like this, and I wondered if this was racism. And the wine wasn't that good, so I ordered a martini a second time. The martini tasted like water, probably due to the misuse of melted ice. It was the worst martini I've had since I first had it (well, it's only been about 4 years...). Now that I look back and think about it, it was so unfriendly that I wonder if it was racial discrimination. The atmosphere seems to be the best in the area, so if you can bear it, I recommend a visit. We recommend drinking the cocktails that are on the menu. The on the rocks cocktail next to this is also delicious. Both have great atmosphere. The reviews were so good that I went for cocktails at first. The cocktails were moderately good. The atmosphere is first class. The second time I went for dinner and drinks. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered sashimi, which was okay but not the best. I asked them to recommend a wine to pair with it, but they just served the wine without any explanation or comment. I thought, how could they be so unkind? I ordered a martini a second time. It tasted almost like water because they didn't adjust the amount of ice. It was the worst Martini I've ever had in 4 years. I recommend ordering popular dishes and cocktails from the recommended menu. I would say the atmosphere is top notch, but they are very unfriendly.
