We went for dinner ans it was very bad.
They go oue dishes wrong a number of times, restaurant was not crowded. Ordered vegetarian dishes and it came with meet.
The food is just bad. In the best case the dishes were flavorless, but mostly inedible.

The portions are huge. I got the Lava Java breakfast, Island style. The only issue is that the drinks are ridiculously expensive. 7$ for Americano. I have not seen that before.

The food and atmosphere were just so good that we ate here for breakfast three times on our 5 day trip! Everything was delicious, the servers were all friendly, and the views from the patio were great.

Great place for an affordable meal that is delicious. The view is good but the power lines run directly through it. Other than that everything was wonderful and I definitely recommend stopping by!

🤙 The Luau Scramble is pure Kona magic! Smoky kalua pork, sweet grilled pineapple, melty cheese, crispy potatoes, and that spicy Portuguese sausage on the side = the ultimate island love letter to breakfast. Paired it with a big French-press pot of 100% Kona organic coffee and soaked in that perfect ocean breeze. Food and view were 10/10.

Service was not, but the host and bar team were super friendly and quick. Next time we’ll probably grab a bar seat or ask for a different section.

Still, absolutely worth it—Island Lava Java is a must when you’re in Kona. Mahalo & Aloha! 🌺☕
