Island Ono Loa Grill

This is a great little gem , we got a standard cheeseburger, as that's truly the best way to tell if you're eating a good burger or not is to not add all the frills and fancy toppings go as generic as you can and I got to say it did not miss. This reminded me of the burgers i make on my smoker grill. Which definitely lands a seal of approval. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up 🤙🏽

The blandest burger i have had in a long time. A McDonald's burger at least has salt on it. I got a local beef cheeseburger, and the meat was so flavorless I got more flavor from the bun than the burger. There was no seasoning on the meat whatsoever. The fries were overcooked. The lettuce and onions were okay, but it was not worth almost $20 for such a literal nothing burger.

Excellent place. I ordered the local grass fed beef burger and the sweet potato fries and it was amazing. Best burger I have had on the island. Highly recommend.

The food here was SO good - they helped me out with a bun-less burger and dedicated gluten-free fryer for the fries, while my husband enjoyed the best loco moco he's had all week. We'll be back to try other burgers, and enjoy the ambiance!

This was my favorite dinner musician. He was good. he wasn't too loud; we could still hold a conversation. Even with my husband who wears hearing aids. It was refreshing.

One of the best burgers I had and this is definitely the best in the big island. Get it with grass fed local beef. Very flavorful. I had the BBQ Cheeseburger.

Kalua Pork sandwich with fresh cut fries and the Loco Moco hamburger so fresh. Likely our best meal. It was that good! Not upscale or fancy place, just very good food. Many locals eat here and that should tell you something.

Food was great but 20min wait keep in mind it was not busy at all and the couple behind me had there food before I got my order I did place order before the couple so the staff should work on having first customers taken care of first but still great cheeseburger here on Kona side definitely recommend it

Absolutely fabulous kalua moco loco, Mac salad and slaw. Katie was super helpful and friendly. Crowded inside but found a great table outside in the rain with just a sliver of ocean view.

This is not what I expected. Firstly the owner makes you pay extra for locally raised grass fed beef...charging marginally more than imported grain fed burger (which is not as tasty as a McDonald's burger)...it is a clever ploy...jack up the price of grain fed burger shipped in from outside of Hawaii (not environmentally friendly ) obviously at a huge discount in price for the owner ...who then prices non grass fed beef nearly as much a locally grown grass fed burger... knowing that in this economy folks are price sensitive or may just forget to ask for the grass fed option.... This business strategy is great for the owner but horrible for the customer and the local cattle ranchers...

On top of the place has no AC....and is not a pleasant environment.

Strongly advise skipping this place and try the Ultimate Burger or other place locally ....

Only positive to say is that the staff are super nice and friendly....
