We had the surf and turf. The filet was the best I've ever had - so tender and flavorful. Excellent service too! Jackie Rey's is one of our favorite restaurants in Kailua-Kona.
Great restaurant! We live in Kona, and this is our favorite. Excellent ambiance, service, food and wine.
The atmosphere is very tropical with a beautiful view of the ocean and sunsets. We were gifted a beautiful rainbow after a rain during our visit. Lei's for our birthdays was a nice touch. The food was excellent! Joetel was pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend him! Drinks were very tasty.
Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was amazing. We ordered the New England Clam Chowder, Shrimp Cocktail, and Surf and Turf. All were amazing. Will definitely return.
Our server was amazing, very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was great! Definitely recommend
Food was amazing and our server Lauren was top talent! Explained the menu specials and provided excellent customer service while being friendly and engaging. Dinner for with the Tomahawk steak. Overall highly recommended
had dinner here for my birthday and the food was sooo delicious. everything was cooked perfectly and drinks were super yummy. we ordered the og mai tai, lilikoi martini, and an arnold palmer for drinks. for dinner we had the surf and turf, the ribeye steak with truffle fries, and the seafood cioppino pasta. everything was excellent! i will make this a stop everytime im in Kona from now on!
Very delicious food, but a little bit on the pricier side, but I certainly would say you get what you pay for. Drinks $15-20 range too. Staff was above and beyond kind. Would recommend if you're ok with the price!
Food was excellent. 3% credit card surcharge is lame. Figure out the margins and spread the cost into the food. Nothing like having a great meal and then seeing a bunch of add on fees because the restaurant can’t manage their books or are just looking for additional revenue streams.

The wait staff looked swamped, but the restaurant was only half full. It took a full 10 minutes to even get a menu.
The dessert choices were not very appealing. A simple cheesecake or chocolate cake and we would have stayed for dessert.

So thankful Jackie Rey’s Kailua-Kona was open on Thanksgiving Day! Delicious dinner menu, creative cocktails, and love the open air island dining! Awesome location to enjoy the sunset with a great meal. Lauren was our awesome server and she took great care of us. Look forward to returning again soon!

Good meal, good attentive service, but felt rushed. The sign at the front of the restaurant actually spelling out time limits (down to the minute) based on party size was absolutely classless (and cost them a star on my review), particularly given that those time limits were not communicated in advance. Not that it mattered, as about 6 minutes elapsed between us ordering mains and them being on the table, so it would have been somewhat difficult to overstay our welcome anyway. Another anxious American meal in that respect…when we are dropping upwards of $90 per person would like the freedom to relax instead of being treated like a commodity. That said, the food (start to finish), drinks, and service (other than the being rushed) were excellent.
Vegetarian options: Braised tofu was great! Sashimi was swimming in sauce, leading me to question the quality of the fish.

The place is really nice(restrooms should be remodeled)
We had some drinks, the Muay Thai was the best one.
Appetizers were good but the sashimi was not what I expected, the fish was plain and it was too spicy.
The waiter recommended me the trio and it was “mee” shrimps were ok, but the puree was so rustic and plain.
The crab cakes were good, u shroud give it a try.
Pastas are also good, u could try they are made with fresh produce.
The cake was good, a little bit too sweet for me.
Even we had a reservation we had to wait 30 mins when we arrived.
Nice place to go, pricey tho.
Vegetarian options: They have no many vegetarian options
Dietary restrictions: Everything is labeled and the waiter knows all about the menu
Parking: Free parking, but we had to drive around for about 10 mins to get a spot.
Kid-friendliness: Nice place no enjoy with family in general
