We were here for the buffet night. Overpriced food for $250 a person. Service is terrible especially on the this price point. Our server never checked in on us. Although the restaurant provided some “fancy” ingredients, they were not fresh at all, worse than Las Vegas $50 buffet. We ended up finishing the meal within an hour. Would not recommend it.

We came for the Paniolo Night, which costs $200 per person, and the service was absolutely terrible. The server only showed up once to bring the bill. I didn't even get a single water refill in the entire 1.5 hours we were there. This level of service is unacceptable, especially in a 5-star hotel. It was an awful experience, and I will never come back. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

The restaurant is beautiful, the food & drinks are fine albeit highly expensive, but the service is terrible. Reservations were at 7:30, no one helped us for at least 20 min, mix up of severs was frequent (who was helping which table, food brought to wrong table, etc.), food came at 8:40, FOLLOWED by drinks at 8:45. Our server never checked on us. She said they would bring us bread but never did. They were slow to get the check despite us asking for it. There seemed to be a lot of people huddled by an iPad in the back, but many of them not doing much and having to wait to take turns with the iPad. We didn’t dare order dessert in fear that we’d wait another hour. Overall, it was frustrating that we got dressed up for a “fancy” Friday night dinner and the experience was so disappointing. I definitely would not go out of my way to come here, especially if not staying at the resort.

I had a great dinner at Kahuwai Cookhouse.
The location and view is remarkable and the experience got better from there. The cocktail list is fun with twists on recognizable favorites. I started with the Hearts of Palm Lomi. It was a nice, fresh beginning. For my main, I picked the Grilled Island Ahi. It was cooked perfectly and the curry hash was amazing. I finished with the panna cotta, though I forgot to get a picture. Service was excellent throughout.

Nice spot in the Kona village resort for smoothies, snacks, coffee and pastries. They don’t display prices anywhere, so be aware of how expensive it is. Otherwise you might pay $11 for a tasty cookie like someone I know ?

We had dinner with the whole family, and Bill was almost $1000.
My wife forgot her sunglasses, we tried to call and they transferred us from one person to another person.
We had to come back, the waiter recognized my wife and told her that she found the glasses and gave it to the manager, but the new manager said that he can't get a hold of the manager that have it to sew where she kept it and they will call us once they get it. We waited another day, and no one called us.
We had to drive all the way again, and now they said they can't find it.
As it seems, someone stole it, and no one cares.

We came here for a lunch. While the ambience is nice near the beach, the food took a long time, our plates were not served together, and our appetizer of guacamole and chips were served after our meal. They also charged is for extra chips. Seems this place needs to work out a few kinks, especially when we came around 215pm and the restaurant was not busy.

Driving Kona side and stopped by for a quick lunch and sight-seeing of Kona Village. Food and service were great at the Kahuwai Cookhouse.

Our table was not ready and then they forgot our water service and clearing our plates. No non alcoholic beer available at Shipwreck Bar or at the restaurant. This is a very popular trend and they should have an option! The food was Very Good!
