I vacationed here for a week in September 2025 and Kona Chinese BBQ was so good that I had to get it twice! I ordered the Chicken Katsu via DoorDash both times, leaving special instructions for extra Katsu sauce and fried rice instead of white rice - and both times they followed through! Very generous portions and everything was absolutely delicious, it was exactly the experience I was hoping for. Would recommend if you love chicken katsu and fried rice like I do!

Food: Come here for their plates instead of spam musubi. We saw more people getting their lunch special when we arrived but were craving for spam musubis so we ordered 2pc and Mahi musubi 2pc. They are freshly made and the flavor is good but the ratio of rice is way too high…I couldn’t finish half of them and feel very bad for wasting food.

The portion to price is fair and quick service.
After you have tried everything once.. then the burger should be the last.
It is a beautiful burger. Quite a few people order it. But well, this is Hawaii, and the BBQ and other options are excellent.
