The food was good, the attitude of the two Polynesian women running the place was horrible. Very rude and bad attitude and left us not feeling the aloha of the island. Food was good but very overpriced. The best part of the experience was the AC.

The place is dirty and has unpleasant smell. The food is expensive and does not taste good at all. It’s hard to tell if they change oil, as everything is overly deep fried and it had dark brown color. The tables were dirty and the floors are dirty. This is not the lasting impression that I wanted to have of this beautiful island, this airport needs a bakery with local treats or something other than this place. Sanitary conditions are questionable.

It’s truly a shame to end our stay in Hawaii on such a disappointing note. The staff at this airport restaurant completely lacks the “Aloha Spirit” that we love so much about this island. Not only are they dishonest, but their attitude is also unpleasant and even aggressive. It feels far from the warm welcome we’ve come to appreciate here. As for the prices, they are more than excessive, ranging from two to three times the usual rates. Such an experience is truly regrettable as we leave this paradise, and this tarnished memory is certainly not the one we had hoped to take with us.

Outrageous, these people have no decency!! Not to mention that they have disgusting food, but they also kicked the customers out if they don’t keep buying more food. We got our coffees and cookies - the only food which looked eatable, but they kicked us out after 15 minutes saying that they need tables for other customers who are buying more food. The tricky part is that there is no air conditioning anywhere near the gates, so people who are waiting for their flights have no other option to escape the heat. Advice: apparently, there is an air conditioned area by the terminal (gate?) 11, so there is that non-obvious option to wait for the flight in the decent condition. Too bad we learned about this too late.

Very rude people, they watch you like a hawk, no sitting in the air conditioning. We joked they were probably going to yell at us, then they did, explaining the rules. Very weird vibe!!!

I asked for ice with my beer, was told we donʻt give ice. I said it was for my beer she said i will put it in a cup for you. She completely foamed the top and wanted me to drink the foam off the top. I told her to put it in the other cup that was 1/3 full. She put about 10 cubes in the cup🤦🏽♀️and gave me the cup….not good at all!

We asked to fill hot water in a normal size bottle. They asked to charge $4 and we agreed. But the lady just gave us a medium coffee cup with hot water, saying that’s it. I have been many airports coffee all around the world. This is the worst one. The cafe we went is close to gate 8.

This restaurant is located inside Kona Airport. We have hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks. It was perfect because I was hungry.
