This was an awesome find in a little bistro down by the docks in Kona Hawaii. Their unique blend of Mexican and Hawaiian flavors was terrific. We got a shoyu chicken quesadilla made da kini style which was delicious and more than enough for two people. Local wraps has been here for 8 years in 2024 and it shows in their menu and great selection of food well spiced and tasty. They have four different selections of fillings to their four different styles of dishes with one of the four fillings a vegetarian option. I also have a large selection of blended smoothies.

DAY 4 of Vacation - Came here after a long day at the beach. We wanted to buy takeout and bring it back to the hotel since we've been dining out every night.
Parking: They're located in a big plaza, so there's plenty of free parking. Easy to find.
Ambiance/Environment: This is a casual and local spot. It's pretty small inside with very limited indoor seating. No outdoor seating.
Service: There were two workers. I completely forgot her name, but the cashier that assisted us was very chill and nice! I had a great conversation with her about where we're from and how we grew up. Throughput took a while; we received our entire order approximately 15 min after ordering. There were a couple confusions with our orders but eventually got sorted out. They do not offer to-go bags, so we had to carry all 8 items.
What we ordered: Everyone ordered different things from wraps to smoothies to acai bowls. We paid cash, so they gave us a % off our entire purchase. I ordered the Bento Box with shoyu chicken, beef, and spicy jungle sauce. My dish came with a generous amount of meats. The meats sat on rice and served with cabbage and salad. I'd prefer more sides since there was a lot of meat. The sauce was definitely spicy and gave the meats an extra kick. My bf and MIL ordered the acai bowls as desserts. These bowls were large, so we were able to share it. They were refreshing and overflowed with toppings. Overall, we were satisfied with our foods.

The best store here on the Big Island! The food is fresh and delicious! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had 2 burritos, which were generously filled, and a smoothie. Highly recommended!

Quite a nice surprise. The owner of L&L Hawaiian Barbecue recommended we head over here when I asked her about gluten free offerings. The food here is really satisfying. Only a few items on the menu are not gluten free. Everyone working here knew exactly what I could order and what to avoid. Down to the possible barley malt in the granola for the smoothie bowls. My spouse said the ground beef on the nachos tasted good but that the pork in my bento box tasted even more delicious. If you prefer sauce or dressing on the side let them know upfront. Good music and positive vibes.

Açaí bowl was one of the better ones in Kona. The two girls working literally didn’t say anything unless you asked them a question, extremely awkward and not inviting feeling. Won’t be back. Response to owner: My review has nothing to do with being chatty with customers. Your staff looks extremely unhappy to be at work and it shows in their interactions with not just me but other people that came in to pick up orders. There was zero sense of feeling welcome or wanted at your establishment. The only question they answered was when I asked if I could take a paper towel off the counter to wipe off the table I was sitting at because it had crumbs and a small mess from the previous patrons. I gave your food a four star review however the atmosphere and service was a one star. It is what it is, good food and not good customer service.

Jackfruit BBQ and veggie bento box with pineapple coleslaw, perfectly light dressed salad, lilikoi dressing and 2other tasty sauces- all vegan. Every bite was delicious. Great menu. The restaurant does serve some meat but everything else on the menu is vegan.
We were recommended to try this place as a local favorite for vegan food and it did not disappoint. We went there twice during our week in Hawaii. The smoothie bowls are especially good and huge! Other places charged the same price for something only half the size. Limited indoor seating.

Pork Loko wrap: mostly white rice and pork that has the consistency of canned tuna, hardly any vegetables or salad. Unhealthy and tasted such. 2/5 stars. Veggie quesadilla: Heaps of runny cheese and a small amount of frozen vegetables, hardly a ‘vegetable quesadilla’. There is also nothing fresh about this dish, we could hardly eat a quarter of it. 1/5 stars. Pork nachos: by far the best thing we ordered, a balanced amount of salad in combination with the other components. 4/5 stars.

Great variation on classic food options! We travel a lot and eat out a lot including expensive restaurants. This was cozy and warm feeling with great music and great vibes. Between my family we ordered most things and we all loved our food.

One of the best açaí bowls I’ve had overall, and definitely the best on the island. They are huge but they will split if for you into two cups and that was perfect, will 100% be going back. Their food was great as well, tons of vegetarian options!
