We made a reservation for a large party several months in advance and were told a month before that they had a private party that required they close the restaurant and needed to adjust our time, we told them that was fine and rescheduled. Then the week before they called and said the same thing again. This was very disappointing. Maybe private parties should be required to be booked further in advance? Seems like poor management.

Having found (and loved) Magics on a prior visit to the Bug Island, it was an easy call to start this trip with a beachside lunch immediately after arriving. Nothing cures travel fatigue better than relaxing under an umbrella on Magics' deck over the waves with a brilliant mai tai and an order of firecracker ono tacos. Really good food and drinks, friendly staff, perfect location.

Yes, the views are incredible. Incredible! But so is the food. Our table had the ono tacos, pineapple fried rice with ono, the catch of the day which was marlin, and a side of lemon Parmesan risotto. Everything was outstanding but in particular, this kitchen does rice and risotto exceptionally well. Treat yourself to this incredible seaside patio and watch the surfers boogie board while sipping your cocktails. And be sure to get the risotto!

Drinks were empty the entire meal, fish and chips were terrible for both mine and my friend. We both felt sick after, as well as a 3rd person in the bathroom.

I live in Hawaii and I eat out often. The food was very expensive and was okay but not great. I had fish and chips which were overcooked and the breading was thick. The coleslaw was a very small portion. We also had the marlin which was way over cooked. I would not recommend this restaurant. The only good things were the french fries and the location.

Best of everything! Food, service and atmosphere. Rio was an excellent server with great suggestions. Will definitely be back. Ps Chocolate Peanut butter moose and chocolate torte were the best desserts ever!!

And then there are times when an already great place gets better, but when everything was beyond what our normal experience there which has never let us down... The Brussel Sprouts are Ono, the Fish and Chips also excellent, the Service and Management are all excellent. Worth the price. Our server Victoria was wonderful too.

Food was fine, we both got fish and chips and it was way over battered and not great. The dipping sauce was delicious. Fresh asparagus was our favourite part of the meal. Excellent service, great atmosphere, food was meh.
