Went to My Bar for the first time last week. Was excited to finally go to a gay bar on big island after living in Hilo for a few years. Went with a group of 5 on a Friday night. It was pretty quiet at 8pm, staff was nice and drinks were good. We played some pool at the pool table but had to stop due to a creepy straight guy sitting by us eyeing the two girls in our group, we moved outside but were followed by more straight guys who immediately sat by us and we're nonchalantly...
An amazing bar with different nightly events. Each time I visit I run into locals that i’ve meet before and meet new people. The owners obviously work so hard to bring the community together to feel safe and welcomed in Kona. It’s a must if you are visiting. Aloha!
