We ate at Poi Dog Deli twice while on Big Island. It was fantastic. We loved the casual atmosphere, the popcorn, the staff were very friendly and the sandwiches were delicious. It can be very difficult to find places for my husband to eat out while traveling with Celiac. But they were knowledgeable about gluten cross contamination and had GF bread. My husband didn't get sick either time.Dietary restrictions: They were great with Gluten Free/ Celiac.Kid-friendliness: Our 11 year old son loved it just as much as we did.

We're visiting the Big Island from the mainland for 8 days and we were in the area so decided to stop in for a quick lunch. I had the rueben and absolutely loved it! The bread was crispy and the sandwich was hot and fresh and the corned beef was super tasty and lean. My wife had the turkey BLT and loved it. Loved the inside and the staff were so nice. Definitely recommend stopping in and enjoying a freshly made sandwich! Thanks!

Beware overcharging here. We ordered a Cajun Chicken Salad sándwich and added a Kitchen Sink Salad. They upcharged us $4.99 for the salad (instead of $2.99) plus $1.00 for “Split Please”, maybe for serving a full sandwich in two half-sandwich trays? We were warned of the $4.99 or $1.00. Also, the sandwich was good but the Kitchen Sink salad was meh.
