Tried for the first time last night and it did not disappoint! We had their garlic Ahi plate and Garlic Shrimp plate. BOTH were cooked perfectly & delicious! They use large sized shrimps that were well seasoned & so juicy. Super friendly service...we took out but they have a nice and peaceful dine in space too. Local style plate lunches similar to L&L but in my opinion... Much much better!

Kinda weird when you walk in. The place is rather large inside but there are a few tables against the walls and the entire middle of the room is empty. It's like COVID never went away or they just don't care to wait tables anymore. Once you pass through the painted glass doors and make the long walk through the empty room you are met with a friendly face and then must make a selection from what might be the largest number of food items to choose from on the island. I don't know how many different offerings are really available.... I don't think anybody really knows.So as it sits this place is to treated as a to go fast food restaurant minus the drive thru. The food is cooked to order and comes out quick. The food is hot and tasty.

Food is good, chicken katsu was a little thin but great flavor. The cashier seemed like he could be doing better things, but they did bring the food to my table.It’s a mom and pop shop, so it’s a little dingy but good if you’re looking for a quick lunch.

We came here for the first time and ordered Kalbi ribs, salt and pepper shrimp and ala carte orange chicken. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. The staff here are very friendly. We went around 7:30 pm and you can tell it's a go-to spot for the locals. We'll be back after our next shopping trip at Costco!

Been wanting garlic shrimp since no where on big island ever has the garlic shrimp you crave from the trucks on oahu. Went here, wanted to try there's... and they serve literally everything all day!!! So awesome. It's not exactly what in was hoping for... but it was SO GOOD. I love garlic and this is what I've been wanting forever. Glad to have finally stopping by after passing by it forever. Their menu is amazing since it has so many options. I would defs try their noodles as well. Service is great, food came out fast, wide open area. Quite a few seats. Great food. A must try!

Excellent char siu fried rice and great portion. I order with extra pork. Have not eaten much off the large menu but the Chinese food is good and to go service is fast!

I ordered the chicken katsu w/walnut shrimp mixed plate combo, it was so good. The chicken katsu was crispy and didn’t taste like it came out of a box in the freezer. They give you a nice size katsu sauce that is plenty extra. The walnut shrimp was very delicious. The mac salad was good too. It was my first time coming to eat in here, definitely will not be my last. I came here really hungry, and I am leaving very happy. The service was great too. Mahalo Rainbow Cafe.

Not a posh and visually appealing place. But the Chinese food we tried here was to die for. House spl fried rice, oxtail soup and noodles, salty short ribs (not sure the name is correct), pot sticklers all were really yummy ? ??

Great place to stop after arriving on the Big Island , or before you take a flight out! Loco Moco was yummy, rice bowls were good, and they even had Dino nuggets and fries for the kid who wanted nothing else. Would visit again!
