The location was closed @8:30 even though posted hours is open till 10:00. Employee was seen inside cleaning. Wasted our time driving to this restaurant. Will not return and do not recommend.

The man working tonight (June 2nd) was working alone and was busting his butt off! Great customer service on his behalf !

A nice place located in an upscale shopping mall by the area country club. A nice place to stop on route to exploring this side of the Big Island

Worst customer service and worst-looking sandwiches I’ve ever had.

From the moment we ordered, the worker had a terrible attitude—rude, sassy, impatient, and acting like we were wasting time. It was hard to tell if she or he rushed us through the order with the sassiest voice possible, mumbling in abbreviations instead of speaking clearly. When I asked her to repeat herself because I didn’t understand, she gave me a crazy look like it was my fault. Then, when I asked what kind of meat was in the meatball sub, she just said “meatball.” No explanation, nothing. When she asked her coworker, they both acted confused, as if “meatball” was a type of animal. It was clear she had no knowledge of what she was serving.

The sandwiches themselves were an absolute mess—the worst-looking ones I’ve ever gotten. The tuna sandwich tasted awful, and the meatball sub was drowned in ketchup for no reason. It seemed like she was deliberately making them as badly as possible. She threw the ingredients onto the bread carelessly, barely making an effort. She even shoved the sandwiches into the toaster aggressively and slammed the door like she was angry at us.

To top it off, she got mad at us when we filled a cup slightly before paying for a refill. Instead of handling it professionally, she called us out in the most condescending tone, saying, “Just so you know, refills are $2, you can pay at the register.” No other fast food place enforces that so strictly, let alone with such an attitude. She even slammed the register while we were eating.

After making our order, she didn’t even bother putting the food in a bag. When we asked for one, she said that Subway charges extra for a paper bag—which I know is not true. At any other Subway, it would have been free. It felt like she was making up rules just to be difficult.

The entire experience was awful. She clearly didn’t want to be there and took it out on the customers. Never coming back.

Got here at 8:30pm on Friday the 14th of February 2025..as we were trying to open the door the male and female worker told us the store was closed because there were no cuatomers... well there were 4 people walking up to the door and the signs say they close at 10PM... seems like the workers that the manager hired are just straight up Lazy and don't want to work/earn money for their owner.. good job folks!

My fiance and I ordered sandwiches through their app for online pick up on separate phones so we could use deals.
My order went through at about 9:12, my fiance ordered a few minites later and his was cancled. We decided to go in and order his full price. Once inside the employee stated they changed their hours and now they close at 9pm instead of 10 but have not updated their door. I was able to pick up my pre ordered food but my fiance was out of luck. I'm still confused as to why my order went through after 9pm, but his did not. Also, if you're closed why keep your door unlocked? It all seems a bit odd.

Turned up at 9:50pm and it was closed with no lights on, so if I could give 0 I would because it literally did not exist, alas this establishment gets to enjoy a 1 star

We got here at 7 pm and they don’t close until 10 but the staff rushed everything. We had a very bad experience here and won’t be returning.

I drove 60 miles from Kohala to take advantage of the nationwide BOGO offer. This store refused to honor it. Goodbye subway, hello Jersey Mike's.

Garlic roasted beef sub was delicious. Thank you subway for not jacking up your prices beyond what is reasonable.

Stood in line as an in person customer, and ordered online to save the workers time running the cash having to swap new gloves on and off, and then was pushed to the back of the online order queue because the worker doesn't understand that I'm trying to help THEM save time.
Was almost given a half a wrap instead of the full Flatbread until I corrected that mistake.
Went from my favorite subway location that I have been eating at every day to the worst.
Don't bother ordering online to save them time in store because it will be your loss.
Crazier than my experience is that another guy sat in line for a good 10 min until he got to the counter for them to tell him at that point that they only take cash.. because they had turned off their machine because they were "too busy"
I guess they don't want your business even if you're in person.
The lady was friendly somehow making the wrap but the whole experience was the worst I've seen by far in thousands of visits to subway.
