Large portions and a good price. I went for breakfast and it was very good. I will come back again.

Just came here for some spam musubis before a long drive.Price is a little higher than the restaurant offering spam musubis next door, L&L. However, the taste is better and is packed better.

My son took us here as this is one of his favorite spots for a reasonably priced lunch. He ordered for us. We had spam musubi which was a first for us but we loved it. We also had the teriyaki chicken which was good. Both indoor and outdoor seating, but no bathrooms anywhere around this area which was quite an inconvenience.

This place is awesome - cheap, tasty, and quick. The food comes out within minutes piping hot. They also stay open late and serve breakfast food anytime. Yum.

A most enjoyable experience. Amazingly large menu for a small restaurant. Everything we had was great

Yeah, other reviews have it. This counter serve Japanese fusion deli is nice, and the prices are fair, but the food is a little odd, and you're not necessarily getting precisely what's pictured or listed on the menu. They're open late though, and the strip mall seating area is very lively.

Food here is decent. Portions are good EXCEPT for the sides. They are very stingey on that. I usually like to order the meat jun bento which gives generous portion of meat but I notice some inconsistency in how they make it sometimes.

The service is straight to the point they aren’t rude but it isn’t the best, and the food was just preheated and served.

Ma po tofu while not on the menu, is quite good here. There is a problem with variable cooking and seasoning, probably dependent on who is the chef on a particular day. Last week it was almost inedibly salty. Needs a deep cleaning once a week please

Aloha, so to start off I've been ordering from Sumo Deli for quite a while now and I feel I have a pretty good overall feel of the place to give a solid review.Ambiance: Sumo Deli is located in Lanihau Center. There's a nice big parking lot so plenty space to find parking. As far as the restaurant it's a small order area where you basically just order and if it's not busy wait in there or if it is busy you wait outside. Waiting outside ain't too bad though considering the tables there are to sit and wait on.Customer Service: If you are looking for personable or more friendly service, be warned you won't get that here. Not saying it's a problem, just after many interactions with the staff I come to realize that's the overall work environment. Basically just straight to the point kine service, order, pay and go. They are very consistent with this type of service and I don't think it's bad service, just their way of running things.⭐Food: Okay so to start off, I feel this place has pretty good food for the price you pay. They're Garlic Shrimp and Mahi Mahi are both so yummy. My only tiff with the shrimp are they're not cleaned. The Kalbi, Teri Beef/Chicken, Cutlet, Mochiko Chicken are all good consistent choices from the menu. As far as the steak, it's good as well just don't expect to have the option of choosing the "doneness" of your steak. It's just medium well or well done at all times. The sides are good we always get Kimchi, corn or even the Daikon. Now the RICE! The rice is just BAD *period*. It's damn near ALWAYS hard and inedible, I've probably had good rice from this place twice and thats out of the MANY times I've gone here(around 30x). If their rice was consistently good this place would be a SOLID 4 star.⭐*Beware the Fried Rice btw*Value: The food is in my opinion priced excellently for the amount you get. For example, on the DoorDash App they have a Teri Mix plate that consists of; Kalbi, Teri Beef & Chicken, Rice and 2 sides all for $9.95. That's such a great value, and believe me it's a lot of food. So overall value for what your getting is a thumbs up!⭐Consistency: I don't know about anybody else but for me I love knowing a food establishment is CONSISTENT over all with service and food. I love having the knowledge of absolute solid "go-tos" when I need the best value for my buck. If this place took the time to clean their shrimp and serve good rice consistently then I'd say smack one more star on there for them.A great Budget Option with tons of potential to be an A+ spot!Aloha

They have the best masubi. And quite reasonably priced. Definitely coming back.Edit: have been back twice and it's been just as good as the first time. Got more masubi and a curry chicken bowl and both were amazing as always. 15/10 would recommend.

We stopped here to pick up food for our trip home and were impressed with the amount of food we got for a very reasonable price. I had the Hawaiian bento box which included grilled fish, teriyaki chicken, shrimp (mostly breading) and a delicious slice of Spam. It came with lots of rice and I chose cabbage and mac salad as sides. The mac salad was the best we had on our vacation. The others chose the chicken bento bowl and the teriyaki chicken sandwich. All were better than average in taste and cost $26 for all 3. Will return on our next visit.
