Ever since I discovered this restaurant, I have been in love. The workers are so kind and definitely remind me of my own family. The food is so good that I try to come atleast once a month to support the business. Highly recommend!!

Delicious fried chicken that was gluten free! Quick and friendly staff that will answer any questions you have. Fairly priced and definitely a go to spot if you have a gluten intolerance or celiac.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free fried chicken but ask about which sauces and sides are gluten free

Wonderful service and amazing chicken karaage. I got the chicken karaage and curry bento and the chicken was fried perfectly. Chicken was still juicy inside yet crispy on the outside. The seasoning and flavor was just right. Highly recommended!

Super juicy and flavorful! Chicken thighs are big pieces. Really happy to get karaage on the island. The sour sauce was interesting, very vinegary

Great spot for fresh and tasty Japanese fried chicken! It's a bit off the beaten path inside a food court around the back of a business complex opposite where the Target is but besides Tenkatori, you have other food options. We tried the fried chicken thighs and fried chicken curry bento. All good and now curious about the popcorn fried chicken since that's made with breast meat???

Tenkatori has delicious fried chicken. Can't decide between the boneless chicken thighs which is their #1 seller or the chicken wings? Get the Party Box that gives you both! The chicken is good, juicy and crispy even after my flight home to Honolulu. The sauces were key. I had the Spicy Mayo and the Yuzu. Both were yummy. I initially tried calling my order in as I was trying to catch an earlier flight, but they don't answer when they're busy. Therefore, I was forced to wait 30 minutes at the food court where it's located. Other than the wait, it's a great food to bring back on the airplane!

Home made authentic yakisoba with chicken karaage so delicious and priced so reasonable. This place is a hidden gem because it's located in the international market food court. This is the best Japanese I've had in Kailua-Kona. Most restaurants in the area would have charge over $20 for this dish- they charged $13.95 ( include rice and salad).

Best fried chicken wings on the island! Located in a food court, with lots of locals and tourists. There are many tables to sit and several other food stalls.

Excellent food & kind owner/chef. Small spot in a food market but don’t let it deter you. Price is fair for the quality/quantity. Excellent fried chicken & Japanese style curry & rice. Very homey & delish.

The best fried chicken (Karaage) in Kona or Big Island! Very juicy, tender and flavorful. The owner is also friendly and nice. We'll definitely go back there and get more yummy Karaage while we're in town.

I was curious to see what the hub-bub was about and it is for their crispy, juicy and large chunked Karaage chicken. There are about 4 dipping sauces to accompany it.This establishment is located in the back of a warehouse looking district and is in a food court. Seating is an open air, simple table and chair set up shared with the other 4 food court stores. It has been raining recently so there was a notable fly problem this visit. The service was welcoming and sweet. One of the chefs walked past our table and asked how our food was. "Oishi!" , we exclaimed! It's not fast food, it's food made fresh so have some patience.
