The cheesesteak was good but the other dishes were not as good at all. Service was okay but they forgot a few things for our dishes. The salad wasn’t very fresh. The drinks were not great either. Rather disappointing as the actual view is stunning.

Great cheese steak and poke nachos. Friendly, killer view, clean and reasonably priced. Go there often.

It’s a lovely location and the service was great. The food just wasn’t to our taste and the fish of the day was so over cooked. The poke nachos were too rich with so much sauce and so deep fried. I can see why people loving that fatty indulgence might like them but they were too over the top for me.

Go for the food and stay for the view! Traditional bar and grill vibes with the most incredible view. Yummy food, kind servers, great drinks, and it overlooks the golf course and ocean. I loved the live music, anytime of day you go will be great views and vibes.

Was told by a friend, make sure to check out, The View if only for "the view". I'm glad I did. I love exploring new spots and poke natchos. The View was on point. The bartender (casey?) Was super fun and helpful. She was a ray of sunshine and made great drinks. She helped me, as a tourist find other great eats and activities. I'm glad I stopped in.

The food is okay, they stop breakfast early quite often, I'm assuming to get to a more expensive menu for lunch. A club sandwich and a BLT are the exact same price of $18 which makes no sense. $18 for bacon lettuce and tomato is a rip off, while it makes sense for a club sandwich. The service is okay, it is usuallt quick but the servers and/or bartenders tend to have an attitude if you question them on anything like ending breakfast early. The view from the place is hard to beat, and there is plenty of seating. Overall, if you have 5-10 minutes to drive elsewhere, there are much better options around unless management changes these things that I have mentioned, and I am sure that there are more things that can improve that I haven't noticed yet. Pictured here is the chicken katsu sandwich.

A co-worker and I were in Kona for a golf tournament later in the week … We went four days early to get in much needed practice. We started with a round at Kona CC and then had a late lunch at The View afterward.
It’s an open-air venue on the 2nd floor of the clubhouse overlooking the putting green and views toward the ocean. We started with a Crown on the rocks ($10) and a Hendricks gin & tonic ($12) for me. We ordered the Ahi Poke Nachos ($20) and the Loaded Fries with a topping of kalua pork ($12).
The ahi poke nachos were one of the best we’ve tried … spicy aioli atop ahi poke on a bed of crisp nacho chips. The chips were freshly cooked, or at least it seemed that way to me. The loaded fries were less successful … We like our fries extra crispy and when one gets loaded fries, the topping makes the fries soggy. It’s not the fault of the kitchen; it’s a characteristic of loaded fries. Perhaps loaded nachos would have been a better choice.
In any event, we enjoyed our time at The View though I would have preferred air conditioning as it was a hot and muggy day. Service was attentive and personable. Four stars and recommended.

The view is one of those places that you know that with a little more attention it can be the best place, a lot of potential but not very well focused. We decided to eat here (6 people in total) at the last minute because we have always wanted to go and they close very early, but we were lucky enough to find it open until 7 so we arrived, the view is incredible (wao, one of the best in this part of the island) but the place is quite neglected, tables and chairs a little unmaintained, we ordered beer and it was not that cold, the cocktails were quite good. There are no vegetarian or vegan options (just a fried broccoli starter) and the dishes are quite simple in presentation. The flavor of all the food was exquisite, so I know that the potential is a lot. The food took approximately 40 minutes to arrive at the table. If you want to have a quick drink, with a nice view, this is the place. If the idea is a more enjoyable dinner, I recommend considering other places.
Vegetarian options: There are no vegan or vegetarian options on the menu.

This is a great location, at the Kona County Club. The burgers, and fish tacos are superb.
There are other menu items that are also great. Wonderful views of the country club grounds, and the servers are fun and friendly.
Highly recommend !
