Took fighter-in-law and 6 year old grand-daughter. Menu was tasty and drinks were very good. We enjoyed the music and watching the grey kitty. We also enjoyed the manta ray observation deck and seeing the boats of swimmers offshore
We enjoyed our date night there as locals. It was all good but the music was too loud. Just too loud. He was very good. Did a great job performing. Just was too loud for an otherwise very nice dinner venue. When I'm out for dinner conversation is important. That was not able to happen with the live music intruding at that level. Background? Ok. In my face constantly? Not good. No shade on the gent performing. Just too loud.
We opted to stay at the resort for dinner instead of venturing out. We were pleasantly surprised by our dining experience at Piko at The Outrigger in Kona HI. The service from our server Marie was excellent. The food was very good and nicely presented. The ahi and the fish collar appetizers were great. Everyone enjoyed their main course as well as dessert. I would highly recommend dining at Piko.
