I really wanted to like the place, but when handed an open plate as it started to sprinkle, while having a very long wait being one person in front of me....$13.50. I am not going to lie, I was bummed.
This was my 4th attempt to eat here, and I was lucky they were open and took my order. Was it worth the try...yes. Will I try again, maybe. Do I recommend?...sorry, there are a few other taco places that come to mind first. I do wish them the best, and I hope they pay attention to the people who are not here for a vacation.
No restroom. There is no place to wash hands. There was a bottle of Hand Sanitizer for customer use.

Probably THE best fish tacos I’ve ever had (I’ve been to Hawai’i three times and have had them on the mainland, yeah I know, not the same 😉). Classic food truck. Kind attendant but pretty apathetic. The food came out fresh and pretty quickly. The picnic tables are set back from the road but it’s the main strip through Kapa’a so the road is busy and noisy. A beach isn’t too far of a walk but it hosts a lot of homeless sorts. Might be best to get it and go.

Best authentic homemade Mexican food we have had. Tortillas were made to order and insanely delicious. We ordered the carnitas platter and it was amazing. A must stop!!

This are by far the best tacos we’ve had in the island. We tried the pastor ones, asada and mahi mahi and they were very good. The green salsa they had went great with the asada tacos. We are Mexicans and know about real tacos so we really recommend this place.

If I could give them 10 stars I would ! Authentic Mexican food ! Everything is freshly made . We got tacos of chicken and beef , torta which is like a sandwich and rice and beans We are staying on the other side of the island and had to order more food to go . Wish they were where I live :(

Out of all the traditional Mexican food trucks. This is the best on kauai. Great vegan options too. Not many but there is something on the menu for everyone.

Great fish tacos on soft corn tortilla, loaded with cabbage, pico de gallo, and lime. It also has a crema on top which next time I’ll ask for on the side (it tastes great but I personally don’t like sauces or cremas on my tacos). The fish was fresh and food came out fast and hot.
The salsa verde is a little spicy and goes great with the fish.
Standard refried beans and rice. The kids cheese quesadilla was also great.
Great friendly service and delicious food.
We spent around $30 for 2 people and are stuffed, we could have ordered less and been full.

I love El Taco Feliz! The best food in both Kapaa and Kauai. Get the mahi and al pastor tacos. Honestly the best fish tacos in Hawaii. So tasty! The family running El Taco Feliz is amazing! They are kind, sincere, and put love into everything they do. Go for a taco, leave with a warm heart❤️
