Lovely setting open to fresh air with nice view of large courtyard and garden. Friendly attentive service. One patron at table next to ours got loud for awhile, otherwise quiet and relaxing. Fish ( ono and mixed grill. We're excellent, nice chowder came with. Nice reasonably priced wines. Overall a bit expensive but not out of range for Hawaii.
Went to hukilau for 37th wedding anniversary. Oct 15. Was dying for prime rib. Didn’t care about price I wanted Prime rib so so bad. All we get here on Kauai is choice. There is no fat in the meat no marbling and you can’t cut it with a fork. You have to slice every bite. That is choice. And if you’re good with that. Then the rib is great. It was cooked perfectly. But I wanted the prime rib.

Gazpacho was incredible, as were all of the other soups, and the pastry on the Swiss chard tart was perfection.
I hope they take good care of the kitchen and house staff because they deserve all the praise I can give.
