the guy was nice and the place was cute but me and my friend got coffee and it was honest to god the worst coffee i’ve ever had. I got an almond vanilla latte and my friend got a dirty chai and they were nearly 10 dollars each and genuinely not drinkable, and not in a too sweet or too bitter way but in a they tasted faintly of cigarettes and decay way. I hate to leave such a negative review and I don’t know if the milk or coffee beans were rancid that day or what but it was honestly too outlandishly bad to let slide.

Such a great little coffee shop. If you’re in a big rush, stick with Starbucks. If you, however, want a phenomenal cup of joe, great vegan food with a number of gluten free options, a good atmosphere, and very friendly and entertaining service, then come to IMUA! There was only one barista on staff but he was keeping up with both the pace and the conversation! Highly recommend for a proper calm Kauai morning.

Everything was delicious- from the malasadas to the lattes. Even my whole-milk-only partner loved his Kokoholemoka. It’s refreshing to have a local, plant-based shop where I can have anything on the menu (I have a dairy allergy, so this usually is NOT my experience with other shops). SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. As a small, local business- with only one person making drinks + food, the staff (one person) did great! He stayed in constant communication with everyone— even as people impatiently approached the counter from all sides, he maintained a great, friendly attitude and ensured no one was ignored. Overall- great experience and we will be back. I highly recommend this shop for everyone, but please, remain patient and be mindful during high volumes of business- you will not be disappointed (:

They have great Malasada's, banana bread, bagels etc (with vegan cream cheese). Plenty of plant based milk to choose from too. All vegan now. Although do double check if you care about the sugar being strictly vegan sugar as a few times they have had some items that the sugar is just regular sugar. A wonderful place for anyone to go too!!!!!

Excellent coffee and donuts and a most wonderful breakfast sandwich with GF bagels! Make sure you stop in at this lovely cafe for plant-based amazingness which all people will love. There's also fun upcycled clothing and I found the coolest pants ever. A new Kaua'i island favourite spot for brekkie.

Came here with my bf and there was one gentlemen working all by himself, but he was very quick and efficient and had great customer service. He whipped up one of the best coffees I’ve ever had and we also got a banana bread which was delicious. He was great with customizing orders, and helping you get the exact coffee that you want.
Imua Coffee Roasters is an absolute gem and a must stop if you’re vegan or just love great food and coffee. Everything here is 100% vegan, which instantly made it one of our favorite places on the island.
The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, the donuts are so good you’ll want more than one, and the coffee options are excellent across the board. Everything tastes thoughtful, fresh, and made with real care.
What really sets this place apart though is the owner. He is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating, creating such a warm and friendly vibe that makes you want to linger and come back again and again.
Amazing food, great coffee, and an all vegan menu done right. Places like this are special, and Imua is absolutely one of them. 🌱☕🍩

Waited 10 minutes for an iced latte and cold brew and spent $19. I got almond milk in my latte and it tasted very sour. Highly disappointed especially with the wait time.
