The food here was delicious! We originally came to eat pork, but they had run out. However, we tried the chicken and a noodle/rice dish and now we can't wait to go back. The lady was so sweet. She gave us a fried banana dessert on the house. It's a must try!

Very authentic tasting Filipino food, according to my girlfriend who worked in Filipino restaurant. This is their location during the pandemic. Wonderfully kind hosts. The pork belly was beautifully crispy, and the vegetables were delicious. Lumpia were great, if a tad bit greasy, but that's because they were fresh out of the oil! The lady gave us a banana lumpia on the house at the end, and it was FABULOUS! Can't wait to go back and get more.

Home sick for some Asian foods while travel to Kauai? Try their foods, you will not be disappointed. But be careful as they move to a new location next to Seaview restaurant.

Such good food with great flavoring. I got the pork blood and another pork choice option. The pork blood was one of the best I've had in a very long time. The portions are big, so I eat a bit and then the next day I had it for lunch again. Staff is very friendly and made me feel at home. I definitely think this place needs to be frequented more often.

This place just opened today from COVID. Great food and great service, thanks. Got the combo order with spam and fried garlic rice.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Kauai Family Cafe. We arrived right during opening. The main cook failed to show up for their shift so the poor waitress had to cook and serve us. I felt so bad for her, thank goodness it was a slow morning. She did a wonderful job! I wanted something light so settled with a plate of fresh fruit. Great selection! There was watermelon, bananas, grapes, strawberries and blueberries. It was all very sweet, not too ripe or under ripened. Husband got a tortang talong, or eggplant omlette. It was perfectly cooked and delicious with the side of white rice. A very satisfying, light yet filling meal!

I came here almost everyday for breakfast! It was quick, cheap, delicious and simple Hawaiian Filipino food. Good service, friendly people. Chill vibes.

After many failed attempts to find a place that was open past 8pm, we settle on Kauai Family Cafe. The picture definition of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Staff was friendly once they appeared from the back, I suspect the place is ran by two people! So be patient when you arrive. Very extensive menu. I went with the Pansit, a fried noodle dish with veggies; my wife went with the BBQ pork ribs, which came with rice and macaroni salad; and my father-in-law went with a cheese burger. I loved my noodle dish! It was delicious and gigantic! I was not able to finish it, and was too hungry to take a picture. The wife really enjoyed the pork ribs, said they were rich but well worth it. And my father-in-law described his burger as hefty and delicious! The prices were one of the most reasonable we have experienced in Kauai!! Three meals for $34!! Unheard of! Bottom line, I recommend the place! Don't let the looks deceive you. If you want fancy, go elsewhere, if you want good food stick to this!

Review is for place only, not for food. I'm very unpretentious and okay with eating at such places. But this one was more than I could tolerate. Too filthy from inside and outside, there were ants all over the table, I just lost my appetite once I walked in. Maybe they have some great food, I just wasn't able to enjoy it.

Huge portions, delicious food. Found this small, locally owned restaurant close to our hotel. Reasonably priced for breakfast. Two eggs, Portuguese sausage, home fries, and 2 big pancakes for $12.99. The meal was garnished with a slice of orange and a small sprig of mint. Try to find that anywhere else on Kauai for that price. This is a very small restaurant run but two people. Don't be surprised if it opens later than 7AM, or might not open at all if something happens to keep owners away. Kauai Family Restaurant is located in a small shopping area across the street from the Shell Station on Haleililo Road.

A big score on this place. My wife can't stop talking about the ginger and green papaya soup. The kids gave the Moco Loco a solid thumbs up and I had the try the bangs fish. Loved it. All in all a very solid local dining establishment.

The food was great and reasonably priced. The building is a bit run down, but the food was excellent. It was literally half of the price of the Hilton garden's buffet breakfast, and much better food.

Place is dirty ,dirty silverware on the table. That should of been enough to leave but stayed anyway.I didn't order any food but eveyone else I came with did. Thank God I didn't. The food was terrible.Tasted like it sat in the refrigerator for a couple days. No one ate much . As we were ready to leave a huge German roach ran out from under our table.Stay away.
