Almost drove away because the exterior is extremely uninviting but decided to try it anyway. Great experience ? thank you. Maybe some paint and some flowers outside?

Easily my favorite resteraunt on Kauai. Food is so good... service always spot on, friendly and efficient. Best sushi, teriyaki skewars, butter fiah and purple haze saki. Always order too much cause its so yummy! Closed during the day so make resv. Ahead of time.

Were not allowed to have a drink a the empty bar to wait for a table. Bunch of peoples had to wait in front door, eventhough there were empty tables.

Kintaro is a hidden gem for tourists! My family and I make it a point to visit each time we come to Kauai. Since its reopening, they've added a sushi bar and a couple of new bars, enhancing the dining experience.

We always come for the teppanyaki. Each meal is served with a choice of white or fried rice, salad or soup, and vegetables. The portions are quite decent, but if you're very hungry, you can also order a couple of appetizers or sushi rolls.

It was a good experience. The waiters were nice and took only 5 minutes for my food to arrive. I recommend the Mango ice cream and the Chocolate Ice cream cake. I loved the miso soup and the Japanese teriyaki. Love this place, went yesterday was my birthday. Thank you and please keep up the good work!

Superb!!! Best miso soup, fantastic sushi, great beverages. Reservations only seem to work over email. But they send confirmation and are very accommodating.

We did not know just how important a reservation was. Luckily my wife and I were first in line without a reservation.
All staff were great, friendly, and hard working. Especially Jason at the sushi bar! That guy is a multitasking, sushi machine!
Food was delicious, fresh and well priced!
Atmosphere is busy, and noisy, but I guess that’s to be expected of a packed house? We will definitely be back!

The sushi was GREAT! Loved by locals and tourists. Highly recommend if you are staying in Wailua or Kapaa. Be aware though, the restaurant is very busy and you don’t call a few days ahead to reserve a table then expect to wait 40 minutes to get in. Highly recommend the freshly caught fish, Yakitori chicken, and the pork dumplings!

This was a great experience. We watched our food be prepared. Steak and fish on point. Absolutely loved the vegetables. We opted for fried rice and prepared fresh right on the spot. We had sake. I tried cold and warm. I think warm makes it more buttery and smoother.
