7 years ago we stopped by here on our honeymoon. It was so tasty that we've felt guilty about not leaving a rave review ever since. Well, toss me some glow sticks, crank the bass, and call this review a rave; Ono Ono Shave Ice was amazing and clearly memorable!

This was our "go to" breakfast after hiking. It is now permanently closed. It has be gutted...everything removed...currently do not know what might be going in there? Very sad...best of luck to the family who served the county for so long.

We have eaten at Ono Family many times and were sad to find it has been closed since March,due to the pandemic. I hope they reopen sometime soon for the best banana pancakes on the island.

We ate based on reviews on TA and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the only problem was choosing what to have. Had the small order of banana pancakes and they were awesome. The coconut syrup was extraordinary. My boyfriend had a breakfast sandwich that he enjoyed as well. The service was good and the staff was friendly. It is true diner style breakfast place. Just what we were looking for. I would go back again for sure.

Excellent shaved ice. What they give you is massive (enough to share with three people). Low prices, large variety of flavors. Friendly staff.

Stopped here for breakfast and found it to be a good pick. Great service and the food was tasty. Limited parking around here and the bathroom is outside the restaurant. They were quick and efficient. We had our food and were done and on our way in under 45 minutes. We would stop here again.

My Wife and I were On Kauaii this past June and stayed in Kapaa. We went for a walk in the morning and saw people siitting inside and outside at this Family owned business, and asked the people if it was good they all said very. We continued our walk, and on the way back to our resort stopped at this restaurant. I forgot what my wife ordered but I ordereded the Loco Moko a Hawaiian favorite, and now mine. The place is very comfortable and clean. Good service too. We wiill definately go back again, probubly this summer.

Absolutely the best shave ice in Hawaii! Had shave ice in Kona-good, not great. One Ono is fantastic!! One size, up to 4 flavors, and a snow cap, if you want. If you find yourself in Kapa'a, you HAVE TO go to Ono Ono. You won't regret it.

A very local, laidback cafe with friendly staff. I had breakfast there and had one of the omelettes which was absolutely delicious and I only wish I could have made time to go back a 2nd time. A must-try when you are in town!

So.... many may disagree with me here, but this shaved ice is WAY better than the Wailua shaved ice, which is a block north of here. Not only is it cheaper, but the ice is softer and they put WAY more juice in there for you. The vanilla ice cream is better as well. Sadly, i don’t have a picture of mine but it will be another must-go place when I return.
