Really sad to rate this place with just three stars. I was very excited to try it based on recommendations but I’m thoroughly disappointed with the flavors of the fillings. Tried the mango, lilikoi, ube, matcha, and Bavarian cream. The fruit fillings tasted very artificial. The food coloring used for the mango was jarring as it resembled yellow mustard. My wife and I own a coffee shop, we’re coffee snobs. When I tell you this is the best coffee I’ve ever had, I mean it. We came for the baked goodies though. They didn’t disappoint. I was completely spoiled trying Malasada here for the first time. They were so dang good that my wife and I searched around the island (while Passion Bakery was closed) to get that “Baked Good High” we were chasing, and NOTHING came close. Don’t be insane and neglect this place on your trip....
If you go anywhere on the island for breakfast, you have to come here for the best malasadas ever! Don’t go anywhere else for malasadas, you’ll be wasting your time & your taste buds will be missing out. They make them fresh, and the dough’s texture and flavor are out of this world.
