Get there early they sell out their laulau was great poke was great. Its a togo place so you can walk over and sit in food truck court or take it home. It was packed when we went at 11 am. Their oreo reese peanut butter creme dessert was fantastic
The BEST Poké, fried chicken 🐔 and the mango smoothie is to die for!
WOW, is how we describe the food from Pono Market! We ordered some dishes to eat before our flight and some lau lau over rice to take with us during our flight home. Best meal we had on our 4 night stay in Kauai!
We'll definitely come back to Kauai just for their food!
The best poke in Kapa'a, Kauai is not at a restaurant it's at the little Pono Market. Get a fresh and generous portion of spicy ahi with brown rice... the best!
Great and affordable poke bowls!
We got the spicy ahi poke bowls, which were delicious! The employees were friendly and kind.
It is take out only, so plan to have somewhere you can go to eat it.
I totally understand you want to not waste food- truly. But to run out of everything by 11:45 a.m. with closing at 2:00 p.m. seems not good planning off food preparation. Can’t it be planned to have enough during opening hours? Missed out, l guess.
For the area, fire poke. Service is tough for newbies but get the flow and it’s worth the struggle. Guava cake was a miss for us (dry) but the poke is always great.
There are some nice local fish to try out.
Came here on a recommendation from Frannie at Hele Bikes. Food was super fresh and very tasty. I had the Hapa plate with fried chicken. Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Spicy tuna poke was super fresh tasty as well.

As expected, a must-go for delicious grab and go lunch. Go early if possible, the most popular items are gone by lunch. We took a cooler and stored it until after bike ride then walked it down to the beach. Seaweed salad and taro chicken were fantastic; my husband said it was the best $5 sushi he's had. All employees were very friendly and patient towards us tourists, we went back.
Soo fresh!!! Delicious!! Amazing prices!!! Make sure you stop here! The best ahi bowls and sushi you’ll find on the island.
My go-to breakfast spot. I stop by here, grab either a hot plate or some musubi then sit nearby at the tables to enjoy a quick, delicious meal.
Ate here twice while on vacation. Great place to grab a quick bite for lunch featuring local food. No tables but they pack it up nicely with utensils so you can enjoy it at the beach. TIP: there are tables in the open lot where food trucks park just up the street.
Most fresh poke on the island.
