Tried the Katsu Ahi Tuna, which had good flavors but some tough parts. The chili chicken was really dry, unfortunately couldn’t finish it and had to toss. Flavor was okay, wasn’t really something I’d look forward to. The ube cheesecake, however, was divine! Not too sweet and perfectly balanced. I appreciate the takeout packaging being eco-conscious.
We finally found the classic Hawaiian Plate Lunch. Rice, Mac Salad, and steak strips were freshly made (super hot temperature) and delicious. I split a regular with my wife and it was probably the cheapest dinner we’ve had this week. It was the perfect amount and we loved their take on how to do Mac Salad. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. This is with a stop if you’re driving through.
Do not. I repeat. DO- NOT -PASS -THIS -PLACE -UP. Incredible kalua pork. Ahi katsu was awesome. Mac salad was unstoppable. Support locals business! Eat here twice! Skip corporate flavorless garbage. Eat more Wailua Drive in!
