You must stop here when you visit Molokai and ensure you go for sweet bread at night... Everyone is so kind and loves what they do.

Worst service I received in my life, it was hilarious. First coffee shop I’ve been to without wifi. Angry manager who didn’t want to break a $20 to tip a server. Very slow and forgetful staff. Salty French toast. Good fried rice though. Probably what I get for being a haole tourist.

I've been all around the world but have yet to step foot on an island just 7.5 miles away from Maui: The island of Molokai. Some say I'm not missing out on anything, but I disagree. I love to experience new places, from its people, to its beaches, to its eateries. So how did I end up writing a review on the infamous Kanemitsu Bakery? The People Who Clean company of Maui generously donated loaves of bread to healthcare workers on Maui!THE GOODS:Molokai Enriched Bread (plain, no filling)I've heard about it for ages but never tried it until now. I'm not a "bread person" or fanatic per se, as it's just something that holds other foods together or served as a filler before your entrée. Don't get me wrong as a few have floored me, like that good sourdough which held up my eggs benedict at Kitchen Story (restaurant) in San Francisco. This sucker is hefty at one whole pound! But cut into it and it's light and fluffy as can be. I asked others how they ate theirs. Some warmed it up then lathered with butter and jelly while others stated that the cream-filled ones are to die for. I simply sliced an end off and spread some strawberry preserve on it. It was good - soft and airy but there was no wow-factor for me. It was just... bread. Perhaps I should've used a more creative topping/preparation or need to have it pre-filled by the bakery (with strawberry, blueberry, butter, crème cheese or cinnamon flavors according to pictures) to knock me off my feet.OVERALL:While I totally appreciate the 5-star gesture from PWC Hawaii, the Kanemitsu's bread is a 3-star for me.

HOLY YUM! Everything I ate here was incredible, chocolate taro doughnut, croissant, guava cookies, brownie, and obviously the star of the show: hot bread. If you come here you will be doing your tastebuds a favor!

Came for the hot bread, and only wish my stomach had more space to fit more flavors. Mahalo

Good local comfort foods. Super friendly staff. Old Hawaii style coffee shop. Home of the famous "Molokai Bread."

Our normal go to when on molokai, they have tons of great food, real homey food. They have the bakery out front with all their sweet treats and sweet tooth's out there. Not to mention all their wonderful molokai bread. Then you can even go late night to get the molokai hot bread loves with various cream cheese fruit flavors and even cinnamon. Just so you are prepared, they have all natural Hawaiian ac (aka molokai breeze haha). They also have a small staff, so if you go during busy hours it can take some time for food to come out.

Nice breakfast spot. Good food and service. But it’s Molokai’ so everything is on old Hawaii time. Don’t expect to get out quickly. My husband devoured his banana pancakes while I savored my omelette. Definitely worth a stop. We still haven’t ventured out for their hot bread after 730 pm!

We have already been twice for the fresh pastries! Our favourites are the taro doughnuts!

Great place for breakfast! They have the usual breakfast menu eggs, bacon, French toast, and hash browns with good coffee. Very family friendly with lots of locals eating there so it gives you a clue. Want to escape the hotel it is a good choice.
