You know what it means when da plate stay HEAVY??? Brah, I going GRINDZ until I fall into a food coma!!! Lol! And that's exactly what happened after going to Mrs. K's Concession in Kaunakakai town. Mrs. K's Concession is a little take out eatery, and it is located smack between the two banks in Kaunakakai - (American Savings Bank & Bank of Hawaii). Ya can't miss it gang! Mr. K's Concession features local style grindz like - plate lunches, burgers & sandwiches, saimin, musubi's, snacks, & desserts. They also do breakfast here. I passed by this little eatery many times over the years whenever I worked on Molokai, but I guess the main reason why I never bothered to check out Mrs. K's Concession is because the lack of signage on the outside of the business. Food here is made fresh when you order it, so expect a little wait. The day I came here, I went with a Chicken Cutlet plate which consisted of two scoops rice, mac salad, & some deep fried chicken with brown gravy all ovah! Happy I ordered that plate, cuz dat plate was Maaaaaaaaaaasive!!! The chicken was deep fried to perfection, and the gravy ovah really hit da spot! After eating dat plate, bruddah man wanted to moi moi under a tree! Lol! Looking for local style comfort food? Give Mrs. K's Concession a try!
