August 9th - Permanently closed? Dark on a Saturday night and phone disconnected. Very strange.
So grateful to have dinner here a week before Keei Cafe closes, very humbled. Excellent service, food, ambience …. friends have been coming here for decades… a place to especially come for special occasions. Thank You :)

Among the best restaurants on island. Go here.
Standouts are the duck & ribeye.
Parking: About 20 parking spaces. Don't count on them.

What a great (off the beaten tourist path) find. Make a reservation, but be prepared to wait. So order a cocktail and sit at the bar and try to get a table on the porch. Service can be slow, but the food is worth it. Family run kitchen and service, and you can taste the love in the food. Shout out to Mika, Shanty (?) and Drew for working hard non stop.
This is a South Kona standby for me and my guests. I love to support Bobby and his family, the staff is wonderfully caring, the food quality is consistently high, and bring all my out-of-town friends whenever possible.
3rd time and each time has been a wonderful experience and excellent food! We've had the pork chops, rack of lamb, and seafood combo special. Looking forward to our 4th visit!!
Good food, good service and relaxed ambience. The owner is the chef and does a great job keeping up with quality. Loved the live music.

We made a reservation here to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Upon making the reservation we added that it was our 50th anniversary. We arrived a few minutes early. We were not acknowledged for over 5 minutes. Nothing was said about our anniversary. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant. It was busy and the staff seemed overwhelmed. We ordered our food and drinks. Our salad came quickly. We watched other folks be seated, orders taken. We watched the food arrive at their tables as we continued to wait. None of the staff seemed to realize we had not received our meals. We finally asked about our entrees. It was determined that our order had gotten lost. The staff were apologetic and very nice. We were finally presented with our dinner. We were offered free dessert and coffee. We ordered a caprese salad. It was not very good. The tomatoes were crunchy as they were not ripe. I would not recommend until ripened tomatoes are available. I had the duck and my husband had the fish of the day. Both were very good. The free dessert and coffee did not make up for our disappointing experience in the celebration of our 50th anniversary.

Restaurantji Recommends
Tyler, normally back in the kitchen, was a great server. Although the restaurant was clearly undermanned, the service was pretty spotless due to the hustle of the two taking care of everyone. And the chicken in peppercorn gravy is still the best chicken dish I've ever had at a restaurant!
Very enjoyable experience at this restaurant.

We had reservations here at 7 pm. We arrived a few minutes early and there was a group of four ahead of us. They were seated after a few minutes and then we waited to be seated. A few employees passed by us, no one acknowledged us or said anything to us. It was like we weren’t there. Finally, after nearly 15 minutes we left. We didn’t want to keep waiting and be further disappointed in the service.

Always a pleasure to return to the Keei Café. Certainly some of the best cooking on the island. And one of the menus with the most selections. Duck, lamb, fish, all prepared really well. Oh, and don't forget the desserts. Services is always wonderful. They work hard and try hard. This is the only restaurant that we have been to several times on our stay this winter.
