We worked with Janel for our wedding cake - I leaned on her a lot for her recommendations and expertise, the result turned out not just beautiful but also delicious. Thank you for everything!

We were referred to Kona Sweets by our wedding coordinator and Janel did not disappoint. We worked with her months in advance of our wedding and she managed to create a masterpiece that represented our vision- she even incorporated onto the cake a figurine we sent to her beforehand from Arizona! The cake was not only beautiful it was also delicious. It was perfect. Inside and out, it was exactly what we wanted. Thank you, Janel!

We loved working with Janel for our wedding cupcake tower! She was awesome—so friendly, easy to communicate with, and made the whole process stress-free. We started with a trial where we got to sample three flavor combos (which was such a fun part of wedding planning!) and then chose a 6” cake and 60 cupcakes for our tower. Everything was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and just perfect. Janel delivered and set everything up at our venue, which made things so easy on the big day. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for something sweet and stunning for your wedding! We went with red velvet and lilikoi for our cake and the cupcakes were coconut, red velvet and chocolate with lilikoi filling. 🧁 Mahalo for making our day special ❤️

Kona Sweets did an excellent job with our Vow Renewal Cake ! We decided for our 15 year Anniversary to do our vow renewal in Kona, Hawaii . We reached out to Kona Sweets and they were very communicative, easy to work with , and they made the Best cake ever ! The cake was delicious and also looked so Beautiful. They made the process very easy from start to finish even though we were from out of state . Pick up was very easy and we were so happy with the yummy cake . We highly recommend Kona Sweets for your special day ! Thank you guys so much for making our day extra special with your lovely cake !

Kona Sweets Bakeshop is a super cute and small pastry shop in Kona!

My boyfriend and I came in to just get pastries originally, but when we saw the ice cream display we knew we had to try something.

Food: We ordered two pastries, a Cannoli and another cream-filled one (cannot remember the name). I was surprised at the lack of flavor in these, but they were still very enjoyable. I prefer stronger flavors, so this is just my preference. The ice cream was delicious. We got a ginger flavor and a chocolate coconut flavor and both were outstanding. The ice cream was definitely the star of the show.

Kona Sweets made our amazing wedding cake! We worked with our planner Bliss in Bloom to do cake tastings and decided on 3 different fillings for each tier: lilikoi, Kona coffee buttercream and raspberry. Deciding on these flavors was probably one of the hardest parts of planning our wedding, because all of their cakes taste amazing. To this day, our guests rave about how good the cake was. Thank you so much!

Janel was so kind and responsive! We were coming from out of town to celebrate my dad’s birthday and needed a cake. Kona Sweets was so helpful and accommodating!! And the cake was absolutely delicious!! It was perfect and we devoured it.

Hands down, the best cake we’ve ever had! The communication with Janel was so easy through text. Ordered a 6” coconut cake for my boo’s 50th and can’t get over how beautiful the cake was and how amazing it tasted. Can’t get over how great it tasted. If you’re looking for a cake to celebrate a special occasion, look no further. This is the cake for you.

Janel made us a beautiful cake for our destination wedding as well as 20 cupcakes. They were ALL delicious. The Kona coffee buttercream is *tasty* as is the tropical carrot cake.

We ordered a wedding cake and Janel made a delicious macadamia nut layer and a lilikoi coconut layer. Sooo good!

They delivered, set-up and decorated our cake and cup cakes with their floral arrangement and as you can see it all turned out beautiful!

6” cake: carrot with cream cheese filling and butter cream frosting

10- vanilla cupcakes with lilikoi filling
10- dark chocolate cupcakes with Kona coffee buttercream
10- coconut cupcakes with the coconut haupia filling
10- carrot cupcakes with cream cheese filling

Pricing was VERY reasonable. 10/10 recommend!

Kona Sweets Bakeshop did our wedding cake and it was DELICIOUS! We had lilikoi filling with macnut cake and that was 10/10. Janel was amazing with trying to meet our vision of the cake, and was patient and responsive with my various questions. Highly recommend.
