Blatant Unequal Treatment and Poor Service
Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was mostly empty, yet we received poor and noticeably different treatment than guests who arrived after us. Our drinks were served improperly, we were never given complimentary chips and salsa (even after asking), while others were served immediately. Staff was rude and unwelcoming, and the situation felt discriminatory. We ultimately left and were still asked to pay in full despite not being properly served. I would not recommend this place, especially to people of color.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had, especially as a parent.
We came in around 12:00 PM with our 2-year-old and 5-year-old, who were extremely hungry. After being seated, I politely asked a nearby server if we could place an order. She responded rudely, saying, “I am not your waiter,” and walked away without any help or courtesy.
Our actual waiter showed up about 5 minutes later, even though there were only a few tables in the entire restaurant. We placed our order and waited for chips and salsa so our kids could at least start eating.
Ten minutes passed. We finally got our drinks — still no chips or salsa. During this time, three new tables were seated and were immediately served chips and salsa. One table even received them before the customers had fully sat down. Watching that happen while our kids sat hungry was incredibly frustrating and upsetting.
After waiting another 10 minutes with absolutely no food, we had no choice but to leave. As we were walking out, the waiter asked us to pay, which we did just to avoid any confrontation.
The lack of empathy, poor attitude, and complete disregard for customers — especially families with small children — was shocking. We felt ignored and unwelcome. I would strongly advise families to avoid this place

The food and service were absolutely outstanding. We ordered the vegetarian quesadillas and the tostada, and both dishes were packed with flavor, clearly made with fresh ingredients and a lot of care. The seasoning was spot on, and the portions were very satisfying. Despite being a party of four, the service was impressively fast and well organized—we were seated, served, and finished within about 45 minutes without ever feeling rushed. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back again before my trip ends, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious, well-prepared vegetarian options paired with excellent service.

We ate here as a spur of the moment choice and walked away, well fed and happy. Steak tacos, ground beef tacos, queso & chips, and beef enchiladas were so good. So was the salsa and chips. We plan to go back next time we visit Maui. ❤️

My family and I went to eat at Amigo’s and we loved it 🥰 it was delicious and as Mexican as it can get. My husband and I love spicy food and they had a hot sauce for every level. I totally recommend eating here. They have a large selection of entrees for kids and adults.
