Very expensive, disappointing food. The French toast was barely soaked and didn't have much flavor. Hardly any bananas on top. None of the juice was fresh squeezed. The mocha basically tasted like milk. Eggs were overcooked, potatoes were bland. It's all passable but not great. This would all be fine if every dish wasn't like $20.

Loved sitting around the pool with live music!

Currently being renovated and it's not communicated in Google maps. Instead you will seat by the pool. Don't expect to get anything from the Google photos, it will be your typical street food. It is fine, but nothing you would expect based on the Cafe page. However, the service is as good as it can be taken current state of the Cafe.

We had breakfast here a couple of mornings while we stayed at the Maui Coast Hotel.

We enjoyed the food here, and appreciated the large selection of breakfast options. They have options ranging from simple things like oatmeal bowls and fresh fruit, to omelettes, pancakes, and even steak or pork chops with eggs. Breakfast is a good price for Maui, but is higher than what you'd pay on the mainland. It's important to note that it was more reasonable here than several other restaurants on the island.

I have mixed feelings about the service. The system of ordering the meal at the counter and then having the food delivered to your table seems efficient, but it also seems to generate a lot of confusion for guests and also the staff. It also feels that they are anxious to keep the line moving, and it shows as they don't have patience for questions. Also note that they don't tell you when you are ordering that you have to go pick up your drinks from a different counter. Be sure to get your drinks quickly as the staff that works that spot does not have much patience for them sitting there.

On our first visit, we had our meal delivered quite fast to our table after placing the order. The food was very good. The second day, the order took a while to be brought out because the restaurant was much more busy. Weirdly, they didn't bring both of our meals out together even though they were placed together, and the server that brought out the 2nd meal had to go table to table to ask who had ordered the dish. Food was very good on the second day as well.

Make sure you look at the menu before you get in line, and also make sure you check the 6-8 posted signs showing all the specials, changes, etc. while you walk into the restaurant so you are ready to order when you reach the counter.

The Kihei Cafe was clean. There is a decent amount of space and tables. There isn't much decoration. It is a little dark inside the space, but not so dark that you can't see. The furniture was comfortable and seemed to be well maintained. The open air area near the street had a nice breeze. The courtyard area has a very nice selection of beautiful plants. It's obvious that this space was originally a bar that has been re-purposed into a restaurant. It would probably work much better if they redesigned the space and removed the old bar.

The restrooms weren't in the best condition, but by far not the worst ones we've ever seen. They feel tired, like most bar restrooms. They were dark as well, but were clean and they could use a refresh. They are also not in a bad location, but were a little hard to locate as the signage was obscured by another sign.

Note that they do add a service fee to checks that are paid for by a credit card. This fee is posted on the menu.

Mediocre food, horrible service. 29 minutes from order placed to getting food in a to-go container, after receiving food, no one checks on you and half an hour later got the check. Better off walking to the ABC store

Had chicken and waffles, pineapples, and cinnamon roll ( it’s massive) it was a great time and great meal. Be prepared to order and pay for your food before you sit down to eat.

The owner of this establishment was disrespectful and condescending to a pregnant woman asking for lemons in her water that she offered to pay for. She had been there 3 days in a row receiving them. Then when she went to the bar the owner was taunting her about the request. She was in tears. She is also the granddaughter of a longtime Kihei resident. This incident was hurtful and the staff even noticed her crying and asked what happened. To the ownerDon't serve. The woman is my daughter.

The french toast was great, as was the cold brew. My friends got the bagel and eggs and the chilaquilas, which they said were good. I felt the woman taking my order was a little frustrated/irritated with me when I was confused as to what was in the coffee of the day and she didn't care to explain, so I just went with a plain cold brew in order to hurry myself along. The woman who brought the food out was super sweet.

This was our second time to Kihei Cafe, but our first time to their new location. Their menu continues to be delicious, we had their loco moco and their pork fried rice for breakfast. It is a staple place to visit for our family each time we are in Maui. Would highly recommend to our friends and family.

We got plenty of food and coffee for our group. We had some coffee left over and wanted to get it to go. This, we asked for a to go cup. Then the response was we have to charge $1 for a to go cup. This is after we spent close to $50 on coffee for our table. Amazing! Oh well…
