Went for happy hour. The appetizers were good. Drinks were so so. The worst was the service. Bartender forgot about my drinks and food. which I had ordered 10 min before. There was no one else at the bar and the restaurant except for someone else she was talking to.

Great location in Kihei. I live on Maui and Have been coming back a few times. Great friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Steak on the rock is awesome but it took it down from the menu.

Went to Lava Rock for Happy hour special, noted before seating that the happy hour was from 2PM-5PM (different from recent reviews that happy hour went until 6PM). Also, menu prices are higher than shown on website. Not a fan of false advertising, did not dine, 1 star. Do better Lava Rock.

Vibes all the way around. Became a part time regular while I was here. The Hawaiian mule is A MUST TRY. The island fish plate is fire. So was the Juevos Rancheros. Joseph was my server and the manager is meesha. If you are staying in Keihi this is a MUST! Whole staff cool as hellll. Really bring in the Ohana vibes ? ???

We were really disappointed with the food and drinks at Lava Rock. With the exception of the fish and chips, which were very good, the other food was bland. We ordered the platter that contained ribs, coconut shrimp, and chicken tenders…all very bland. My husband ordered a pina colada that was watered down. They replaced it but it still wasn’t good. Our waitress was friendly and very sweet. The place is clean and has great views.

The place is a bit hidden as it's on second floor, but it's well worth the 5 extra steps and an elevator ride or stairs. The service was very prompt and friendly. I'm impatient so was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to wait 15 minutes for my drink. Portion sizes are good, but not excessive. Ask for Mari . I had Mahi on mashed potatoes and it was delicious. Don't stand in line at other places if this one is open.
One of our favorite restaurants on the island and definitely our Go-To place in Kehei! The twin lobster tails and shrimp entree is always my favorite and never disappoints. The price point is probably the best on the island for 2 lobster tails, large sautéed shrimp, grilled veggies, and mashed potatoes, for $37. Similar plates at other restaurants on the island average around $65 or more. Super yummy and worth the try!

My family and o thoroughly enjoyed this spot. The wings melted right off the bone, the main courses were all great, and the cocktails were as good as the beers on tap (top notch). Great atmosphere, with some lovely scenery overlooking the beach with some palm trees or some hip neon lighting on the bar side. Service was also top notch. We’ll be back!

Chelsea was fantastic! She took excellent care of our large party that I added on to at the last minute. Food was fast, correct, and delicious. Highly recommend making it for happy hour and asking for Chelsea. She'll make sure you have a fabulous time!
